How about I don't waste money on a controller that feels terrible in my hands.
How about a game that already has support for the same controller just simply add support for PC as well?
How about you stop saying stupid ♥♥♥♥?
There's a difference between emulating and having proper support. If even ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games like AC Unity and Batman Arkham Knight can give full support than why can't this game. Of all things the game that was made with the PS4 in mind. Like seriously.
Also, I use x360ce.
Using an amulator isn't going change the fact that there won't be support for things like the mic in the controller or the touchpad or the game will even have the PS icons. It'll all be Xbox icons meaning lazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs.
And people like you will just keep saying "Well what can ya do? We'll just use a third party alternative and have a halfarsed experience."
I wish you are banned...
You should calm down and not insult other people. I was surprised that Windows 10 even supported the PS4 controller, since we are on a microsoft operating system. In the future, especially with steam working close with PS4, we may have more developers open up support for the PS4 controllers but as it stands right now our windows machines that are running the DirectX version of console games are closest to the Xbox controller setup rather than the PS3/4 controllers. In that sense a lot of developers are lazy yes, but it comes with the package and the vast majority of people use Xbox controllers for PC.
Windows by default doesn't support DualShock 3 or 4, so there is your answer.
Thing about that is, if the other games are able to do it (which by the way aren't even mainly PS4 games) then a game like this can DEFINITELY support the controller. It's like they REMOVED the support for the controller to release it on the PC.
Oh that's right huh? Is that why when you plug in your PS3/4 controller into Windows it downloads the drivers and names the device Dualshock3/4 right? Yeah... because windows just can't see it as a Dualshock isn't it?
All input devices are NOT the same. You either are just ignorant to that fact or don't care enough about what peripherals are most comfortable to you whilst you are playing.
It seems you just came in and posted without even reading the thread first, did you even see when I said I mostly use x360ce?
If you're not going to contribute anything of use, get the hell outta here moron.
The DirectX libraries, however, do include direct controller support so it's a lot easier. They would have to go out of their way and I agree, they should do, but it's a oversight that most people overlook because not a lot of people use a Playstation controller and older versions, such as Windows 7, did not come with a driver for the PS3 or 4 controller initially and I'm not sure if Windows 8 does either. Windows 10 now supports the PS4 controller driver straight from plugging it in but originally you had to go to a third party website to install the drivers for playstation controllers.
All of these pieces put together meant that the default was the Xbox 360 controller and to add support for another controller was to cater to a very small percentage. That may not be the case now but it's still early before a new standard of supporting all controllers will be made. I was surprised that even the Xbox One controller worked on this game and I suspect that it may be due to Microsoft making a push for cross platform play and wanting the Xbox One and PC working together with Windows 10 and that Windows 10 includes all support for the Xbox One controller automatically but I could be wrong.
Ground Zeroes is a old game now though, having come out in March 2014 originally and I'm guessing the PC version was a early test for TPP (seeing as graphical options are limited, the menu controls aren't mouse based and for me at least a mouse always appears on the screen and won't go), there's nothing to say that TPP won't support PS4 controllers on release but I would not get your hope up.
If you wanted to try and get it implemented however, your best bet were to go to the actual MGO forums or the company, it won't be implemented by getting angry on the steam forums unfortunately.
And what are you contributing? You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about something you can't change and you're too stupid to get it working on your own. You want proper support, then make it that way, since you can't shut up and stop making pointless threads. You're truly a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot.
DID YOU EVEN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ READ THE THREAD
I HAVE SAID TWICE NOW I USE X360CE
GET THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF HERE ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
