NVIDIA Shader Cache
Shader cache is causing stutters with this game. Is anybody else having this problem? Disabling shader cache through NVIDIA control panel and then rebooting the computer makes the game run fine. This doesn't happen with The Phantom Pain though.

hey man thanks for info. I used to play MGS V GZ on ultra with stable framerate but last week when i tried it again it was riddled with sutterings and i have been looking for solutions ever since. Disabling shader caches really helped here. Also thanks for info that TPP doesnt have this issue.

Glad I helped. I used to play this game smoothly (even with Shader Cache ON), but then I tried to play again and it was a complete mess.

Majority of old games stutter if you run with Shader Cache enabled.

"Steam" also have Shader Cache for games
"DX12" and "Vulkan" games also have Shader Cache

So we have 3 shader caches here: GPU Driver, Steam, and DX12/Vulkan.

All of these things stress your storage inducing the stutter.
