METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

Controller Issue
I'm trying to play but my controller won't work. I'm using a PS4 controller with DS4Windows. I've never had a problem with any game where the controller worked.

My issue is that all buttons work perfectly except the right trigger, and as you might have guessed.. Is kind of important.

Any help? It's the only button to not work and I've never encountered this before. If it doesn't work on Ground Zeroes then it may not on Phantom Pain either.

Please no flak on using mouse and keyboard. It isn't necessary. I'm not a very strong M&K player.

EDIT:
Turned on my PS4 to test and the button does work properly. It is Ground Zeroes.

I have the same exact issue but with the LT button on my xbox one controller, all buttons including RT work fine apart from the single LT button which is completely dead in game. The controller also works fine in every other game as i have just tested it and I have never encountered this issue before

I launched Battlefield V last night and played for about 2 hours no problem before realizing I was using an old controller, one that I've had for a few years. This controller I had prior issues with when playing Far Cry 5 on PS4 with a friend, noticing that the vehicles were driving very slow. Upon Googling the issue I found out that the R2 (RT for you) button might be dying.

What I'm getting at is the controller's trigger button might not work properly anymore. I'm going to use my new controller again and see if that changes anything. I'll post an update in a bit with results. Still not sure how my hands came in contact with my 'backup' controller again. :P

I did some digging and found some other people having simillar issues, the problem seemed to get resolved after a switch of controllers but I dont have a spare laying around ( I envy you rn :) ) and Im not gonna buy a new 2nd controller for a game that is gonna take me 1h to finish. Either way it still doesnt make any sense to me, my controller work perfectly fine for every other game, dirt rally, fifa 17, Grid 2, gta5 have no issues what so ever.. Further more my controller is only 6 months old and I bought it brand new so there is no way its the fault of the controller.

Probably the fault of a flawed port? I don't know. No reason.

Btw, I never got around to testing it with my other controller because I can't seem to get DS4 Windows to recognize/pick up my controller. :/

At this point I have no idea what could be causing the problem and Ill just play the game with a keyboard and mouse because this whole thing puts me in a bad mood just thinking about it, the only reason I wanted to use the controller for this game anyway was because I thought you couldnt slow walk with a keyboard but it turns out you just press ctrl when walking. Anyway good luck to you with resolving the issue hope it works out, see you around.
