METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

Windows spinning circle in centre of screen, can't get rid of it.
I play with an Xbox one controller, on windows 10, every time i start the game the windows spinning circle appears centre screen. I can make it go away for about 30 seconds by clicking anywhere on the screen with the mouse, but it always comes back.

Anyone have any clue on this? Really distracts from the game. I'll google the problem but it's such an odd one thought I'd check here. It's the only game this occurs in as well which is odd.

I haven't found any way to get rid of it in config tweaks or anything like that. This doesn't happen in the phantom pain so it seams like an engine bug to me that they found between the releases and never bothered to fix in this release. I just put the cursur in the very bottom left edge of the screen. I barely notice it after that. But then I just started playing with mouse and keyboard. Its funny that a game so cleary optimized to be played with a controller has such an apperent bug.

Switch from borderless to fullscreen or from fullscreen to borderless. Whichever you're currently in.

Oh ok will try that and post what happens

Changing from full screen to borderless didn't help, neither did switching back. It's an annoying little issue, especially considering the quality of TPP.

Not sure what to tell you. Not an issue I've run across in GZ. Switching between full screen and borderless is what fixes it in TPP, figured it'd do the same here.

I actually never have this problem in the phantom pain. It might be something they tweaked between releases and never bothered to backpatch

I'm getting the same issue and swapping doesn't fix it. system's getting on a bit (9750, 3570k) but still. Feels very odd to be playing snake on PC. Nice but odd.

I have got the same problem. Is there any way to fix that?

A program called nomousy.exe will fix that. It's just an Autohotkey script compiled into an .exe file.

Download nomousy.zip from the third post down here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=143370.0

Download, then extract to a folder of your choosing. Open notepad and type in "nomousy.exe /hide", then save down to the same folder and call it 'hide mouse.bat' or similar - just make sure you don't save it as a .txt file but as a .bat file.

Then, start the game, alt tab out and go to this folder and run 'hide mouse.bat'. The mouse cursor will disappear completely. Alt tab back to the game. When you're finished playing, run 'nomousy.exe' and the mouse cursor will come back.

It's a messy solution to be honest, but worked for me.
For some reason when I start Crusader Kings 2 I get wspray87 config loaded? Why is your config here?

I currently have no solution for this. But f that, I just drag it somewhere to the edge of the screen and don't put attention to it. It remains as a quarter of windows mouse spinning cursor but once I get into the game, this little thing doesn't really bother me anymore. it's gone even it's there

I fixed this by opting into "rollback1002 - ver 1.002" via steam game properties.

Right click game --> Properties --> Betas tab --> Select the beta you would like to opt into.
