Game Freezing?

Anyone else's game started randomly hanging on the loading screen? My friend and I's games both started doing this as of today, game was working yesterday.

It started happening to me too (and I'm using the GOG version).

Same here too.
i started it normal, make a custom hero for journey. Exit the game, eat something, 30mins later game dont start anymore.

if fixed it by actually enabling steam overlay.. i had it disabled but it seems spellforce tries to force it ?

ok starts great now but right now did the escape from prison, right after u leave the area it hanged again....

You too? I thought that i am only one with this problem. First crash was yesterday. After that i could not even re-launch game it just hanged on Spellforce intro screen. Then i did verify game files and it worked. Today returned to game crashed on another loading screen and now i cant even continue because it keeps hanging even with verifying game files. What a waste of money.

Does not help the fact game hangs up during loading screen at 87%.

same here. i was playing soul harvest just fine for many weeks then all of a sudden this issue starts popping. used to be it would hang occasionally on the first loading screen but now it just happens 100% of the time.
removed and reinstalled everything, disabled steam overlay for the game, and it got past the first loading screen (taking noticeably longer than before though) but now when i try to enter a saved game it keeps hanging at 87%

im having to open up a new desktop (using the button right next to the search field in the bottom left) just so i can switch to that and kill the process from there because the game completely overtakes other processes

ok so im in the game now, but only after many minutes of waiting on those first two loading screens. something is really off

Yeah, i genuinely hate these devs and publisher for ignoring this specific bug. I was about to finish campaign yesterday thinking that after couple hours i will be done with this game finally after several hang ups and main screen crashes. Instead loading into main map it hang up at 87 %. Thinking that restarting game it would fine but no after loading screen crash there is main screen crash right after you re-launch game. Restarting steam nor verifying game files do not help the issue.

I will avoid further games from these devs and publishers.

I have the same problem too. Most often it happens to me on the game's start screen but sometimes it gives me the bug of loading stuck at 87% in the campaign. Does anyone know if the problem will be fixed ?

there is no fix to game bugs. Contact publisher.

Might be some bad code in memory that causes the game freeze (- possibly in combination with a Windows 10 update). The Freezing at 87% loading screen and when starting the game happens to me too frequently. One temporary fix is to shut down the computer, wait a few seconds. Start the computer, then start the game.

Perhaps starting another game or program can also overwrite the memory part that has the bad SF3 code issue and then you can run the game again until next time it freezes.
