Wouldn't this game be perfect for custom campaigns?

I know we get a map editor, but from what I understand there's no way to link different maps together so you can't really make campaigns unless they are all on the same map and that would mean they would have to be pretty short. Its unfortunate really. WC3 had custom campaign support and that helped keep it alive for a long time.... until blizzard basically killed it with reforged ( anyway , topic for another time that one).

I just wish custom campaigns were a thing. I think I would be motivated to make one, just seeing the possibilities with the main campaign the expansions, it would be great.

It's fully documented if you want to do your own. Haven't done a world map yet but i know it's possible.

Journey mode is designed to be One-Shot stories but full fledged campaign is absolutely possible.
