Legacy vs Reforced vs Fallen gods vs Soul harvest

I bought the main game rather early on but never got to play it that much. I also picked up the other editions and expansions while they were on super sale and now I want to start and I feel super confused.
I did try to google and search for it all but still kinda confused. Thanks so much for any info <3

When I launch the game i am prompted to select between the Legacy edition and the Reforced edition, whats reccomended here and whats the differences?

Is soul harvest the 2nd expansion and fallen gods the 3rd?

Legacy is the old version of Spellforce 3 before Soul Harvest expansion while Reforced is the updated campaign. Many features, like spells or units, got changed, removed, or added.
Reforced is recommended to start unless you want some nostalgia from legacy.
And yes, SH is 2nd and FG the 3rd expansion.

No, you get the original Spellforce 3 with the Reforced update, you still need to install the expansions on top of it.

Reforced is a light remake of the original Spellforce 3 (Legacy). I'd say it's an improvement for the most part. So just play that. It's the same in terms of content and story. The updates are mostly balance updates and interface updates.

Soul Harvest is a direct sequel to Spellforce 3 and it's amazing. Maybe even better than the base game. And that one is already great.

Fallen Gods plays during the events of Spellforce 3 Reforced if I recall correctly. I personally found that one just "ok".

If you just buy Reforced then that's all you get. You do not get any DLC with it. If you do want to get DLC I'd suggest Soul Harvest. But you can always buy this after completing the main game. It's a separate game to play.

Anybody noticed the legacy UI is like way prettier? I started this game up since i left in 2019 and i almost got a heart attack, who made those ugly health bars and stuff? Who would ever release this so unpolished?
