There are custom avatars enabled. If this really what urks you, go play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ star ocean, FF series, or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ young pretty boy fantasy japan puts out. Go outside, visit other counntries and realize people aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pretty boys.
Someone definitely needs to get out, maybe have a nice spa day, go golfing anything that helps you relax. I don't like the art style choice period. Stop projecting and let people have their own opinions.
That's a great idea. A spa day would be nice.
Don't go playing medieval, or dark\age style games and expect pretty faces, is what I'm saying. That's like me going to a muscle car event and asking why there aren't any tuners or imports? People will tell me to ♥♥♥♥ off, regardless of my opinion.
"There are custom avatars enabled". Where? How do I get them? And, my observation wasn't just about looks. Tahar is supposed to be a young man of about 20... Maybe 25 according to the plotline but most of the avatars are old men. If you ignore the duplicates of your demonist companion or Rohan, the youngest looking is square jawed dude that looks at least 45 and deformed. What's more, the player character's avatar should be unique but it isn't.
The graphics of this game are great so why did the developers spend so little effort on the player's avatars. I don't want some pretty teenager leading the war against evil but was it too much of an ask for the developers to give us a dozen or so pics of average 20 somethings given that this is an RPG. And, this wasn't what urked me, as you put it. This is a good game and I am stunned that the intelligent people that created this role playing experience left it to the catering staff to source images for the player character's avatars during their tea break.
How to get custom avatar enabled. ♥♥♥♥, that's a tough one, google, use the forum function? I gave you a solution to your problem, and instead of seeking that solution, here you are telling me I have mental issues.
Your post should've been the last two paragraphs of your reply. Not the garbage you wrote in the OP, where it's reasonable to assume you want some pretty boy avatars.
What solution is that? Using Photoshop to mess around with a .dds file where the images aren't discreet but rely upon the graphical manipulation of parts of that image to substitute alternative images I don't have? That's not a solution; it's an invitation to file corruption. I looked at it, looked at the suggested Baldur's Gate images that to me were equally unacceptable for other reasons and decided that doing the graphical editing wasn't worth it.
As for me making assumptions about your mental health, I did no such thing. To an observation I made about the lack of choice with avatar images, you attacked. You were nasty and beligerant and failed to make a rational argument upon established fact but instead indulged in name-calling and assumptions about my age and intentions. That is not rational behaviour and indicates ego-centricity, narcissicm, and a need to dominate - in short, a personality disorder. If you do not suffer from a mental disorder then please stop acting like it.
Finally, while the images presented to the player to supposedly represent a young man in his 20s, I regard as both sad and amusing, the context of what can only be described as a "rush job" with little forethought is a game where things like the affinity setting for companions which clearly was meant to guage their reactions to the players choices creating different reactions and story dynamics wasn't even implemented.
While you argue that ugly people are realistic when it is obvious that a variety in appearance is realistic your original attack is more focused on putting down anyone critical of the game. We call that a fanboy.
i changed every companion portrait to ones that would truly match them. only one i havent been able to change is the one for the Orc shaman companion, wich shares the exact same portrait as the shaman orc unit, so no clue how to do this .
It's a solution, other people are happy with it, you just being a ♥♥♥♥♥.
There are more pressing issues with this game than ♥♥♥♥♥♥ avatars.Like I said before, it will probably be addressed patch 1.2+ after you know, they fix all the broken quests that prohibit actual progression.
Have a good day man.
