n btw you have 4 hotkey bars each character, so actualy 12 active skills.
n keep on playing the perktrees update later on
haters gonna hate, but they are actually pretty close to the sequel
Aside from your avatar all of them had only 3 slots for skills. Now its just your avatar included.
"How did that skill system make it pass production 3 times!?"
Even warcraft 3, which had a much stronger focus on the RTS than hero, let the hero have 4 skills at once.
And it's not even like you're completly cut off from them, you have to akwardly switch between skill mid battle for, and I stress this part, absolutly no reason whatsoever. If the intent was to force player to use only 3 abilities (terrible idea BTW), then it fail at that since you can still use more than 3. If the point was to let the player use more 3, well it's the most bakward and akward way of doing it.
There seems to be a mod that let the aura spell stay active even after switching (I can't believe that's something that need to be modded).
forced to choose n life with your decisions.
no saving n backing up when ever you want.
no infinite skillpoint, useally not even enough for 40% of the perk trees.
so you basiclly complain about everything SF intentionly wantz to be. ;)
---
n to be honest these 3 skilltrees per char are still way to large to get more than 3-4 active skills maxed n attribut covered.
on yira ( the elf archer ) i have a single active skill, everything else is passiv.
yet still one of the stronger chars.
In spite of this, you can make a character that's basically walking nearly invulnerable death. Dragon armor, armor aura, resistance aura, and heal aura combined give you 100 resistance to everything and insane healing if you max Con and Will. Throw on the amulet of no negatives and only towers can come close to hurting you.
Next, throw in all brutality, 2 weapons of kill 3 enemies at a time, and the death magic perk that gives your auto attacks silence. GG. The game becomes not worth playing at this point.
Personally, I think Yria is weak. Only things going for her are ranged attacks and healing. Grab Rohen with Isamo's staff instead. Then at least you can add earthquake to your healing and steamroll all the "RTS" stuff.
