It's on the same principle as warcraft, ai on higher diffs has bigger income, simple as that.

Its called hard and insane for a reason. *Smugface*

hey , sc2 insane AI has just a "maphack" and no income increase.

I asked this just to know if i did something wrong in my eco, or Ai is simple cheating.

Sadly Ai ischeating, even on insane difficult, they play so dumb and throw units into your army and feed your hero.
But assoon you push the base from him, his income explode ;)

It could work also in another way.
Like perfect makro + micro.

On hard and insane they get free resources (every 30 sec i believe)

This thing about the Ai getting more income in higher difficulty is just dumb. Why not improve the Ai to be smarter instead of making it cheat? There is no incentive to play higher difficulties.

I made the mistake of attacking an Ai outpost early in a game... 1 minute later my base was OVERRUN by T1~T2 units, I think the Ai didn't even had that much population to make an army that size.

This game had the potential to be the best game released in 2017, the Dragon Age: Origins feel the campaign have gives me so much good memories, but they didn't bothered with QA so a lot of little things shipped with the game ruined it, be it tons and tons of game breaking bugs or dumb/cheater ai.

Because making a good AI takes time, resources, man-power and a lot of money. It's almost never worth doing when you can achieve the same thing by giving the AI some bonuses instead. This is pretty fundamental in any game you play and not at all uncommon.

I just finished a test game now after I saw something fishy in multiplayer.
Its not only the harder AIs that cheat but in the test game I did, I was playing with an insane computer to observe him, against two very easy computers. While in the endgame statistics the insane AI did not have an enormous growth but kinda exponential like it should be, one of the very easy AIs got from 1k gathered ressources to 4k within 3 minutes. There seems to be a trigger for this to happen. (Could be whats stated in a previous post, i.e. the AI being attacked)

Now for the multiplayer part I mentioned. Apparently some player did the same. (getting from 1k to 4k gathered ressources in 4-5 minutes time). There was a player name and not some kind of AIs name..
I wonder if this growth is at all possible because I just cannot make it happen in any way or there are already cheaters around.
It really stands out in the post game statistics when 5 out of 6 players have kind of the same economic growth and 1 player stands out with 3x as many ressources as the rest

Edit: Another thing I noticed is, that this happens only and kinda around the same time someone gets the T3 base

I can't play the game in this state. Annoys me when the AI is like this. Just spam spam spam. kill one swarm of units and another magically appears. And the heroes aren't getting strong enough to deal with it + I need them to expand outposts.

You cant play the game like this yet you play games like CoH 2 where AI does exactly that..

The AI isnt actually all that dumb, sometimes it plays smart, sometimes it just cheats. Also they simply had no time and resources for both QA and even better AI.

The AI always gets more resorces then the player. This is how it goes in pretty much every RTS game.

How much is gained/used depends on the difficulty for the most part.

I've actually had cases where I had enemy catapults coming at me one after the other. As in no end to them until I took out the bases. And that was just on normal.

Yep thats just how it is, higher difficulty boils down to more ressources for the AI, wanna see a game which hs an AI as smart as a Starcraft 2 Champion or the like, must be a pain in the neck to programm such a beast

You must never play COH1 or 2 in that case......

I agree, simply the fact that the RTS and RPG are nowhere close in difficulty. I can understand it being harder thats not my beef. Such as, on easy only low lvl soldiers attack, normal-low and medium lvl, hard( low-med-high lvl), Circle Mage (all of it plus more of a rush for those who like that stuff, heh). But, not just endless attacks so i cant even have time to que up more armies especilly when i barely have any resources. also yes the AI will have more resources but it should go at a similar rate as the player to have a sense of realism and capability to strategize not just frantic chaos, lol. all my opinion, thx. other strat games have settings for AI attack. I feel i can ONLY do offense to win. But, in many cases i cant even do that. luv the game otherwise :-)
btw i also apprecitate the Devs for diligent work on patching, thx

I dont remember company of heroes ai being like that at all. Company of heroes is pretty deep in mechanics which gives the AI options beyond just spamming units. Also that was mainly a competitive multiplayer for a lot of people.

It's a known fact that the game gives the computer extra resources. You might not have noticed it but you might have mainly been on campaign, where it's designed to be slower paced. And multiplayer won't show it.

The Germans will always get tanks out faster then the player, Normally player skill can counter this. What breaks CoH is the fact that if you don't win early-mid game as the allies, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥. No two ways about it. Germans can just upgrade ALL of their units fron a building while the allies have to keep their units alive, which takes longer and punishes you harder for not having kept a unit alive. The former isn't present in multiplayer but the later is. Since I like to drag fights out I ended up losing interest since any time I was on the allied team anywhere near late game it was a loss.

At least in this game I can take over territory and hold onto half the map while keeping the enemy at bay that's at a fair level (unless you're late in campaign, then your heroes might be overpowered. But for skirmish purposes it's fair).
