make sure everything is set right there is also the check box for sell and procure.
it tries to be smart with what businesses you have like for thieves guild it will not hold the default 20 unless you have a business that uses it. it does not touch ones you have manually changed though.
i would like better options for storage barns/warehouses though like for instance what businesses can use what warehouse.
Yes, and i want a button to toggle on/off everything.
For example what i like to do is build one of these near a mine/lumberyard/quarry lease it and just plunder all they have in stock. Tell the guys from the mine to just drop it in my warehouse and my warehouse transporters will take it from there. Because it sucks if those warehouses are filled with soap bars and herb and what not... they arent intended for that.
But to manually edit, every, single, item, within the game... if kind off annoying... Especially if i have to do it multiple times.
Also while im ranting, for the love of god allow me to copy a route i made for a transporter and paste it at a transporter of another business!
If you have more than one storage it is also not clear which items they put to which storage. My assumption is that the items will be stored close the the highest tier production building which needs these items until the there settled MAX amount of that item is hit.
MIN does not work there at all since there is no production inside a storage.
It is kind of annoying NONE that these functionalities are discribed anywhere in the game as far as I know. Furthermore it would be REALLY helpfull if a storage would begin as a standard to not store anything at all except the items you want to store there.
As it is right now trying to build a production chain with food and storages made me just run nuts. Last time I had simpler production chains with iron-, wood- and clothworks and no storage at all which didn't drive me that crazy by far.
Am I missing the big point with storages somewhere?
The point is they store it there, they sell whats not suppose to be there. If you got more stuff comming in then transporters can cover, you need a warehouse that can store more, and have more transporters. Whole point is all the buisnesses drop off goods there, then any thing you dont' want they sell on market. The point is I can have horse cart transports there, and they haul butt all over to any trade point or market you got unlocked what ever is highest bidder.
This way your transports at business are not running for 30 minutes straight to other side of the map to sell to some land trade route spot, the warehouse runners are. Also the funel to the ware house one in town again it has WAY more storage, and more runners. You basically skipped the warehouse in town bit, and sounds like you skimped on the transporters or didn't get them equiped worth a damn.
Its just like real life there is no damn point of a warehouse disturbution network if its run like ♥♥♥♥ ,because you think running transports dirctly from buisness to the markets and vice versa is better when its worse. Fix your transporters, if your barn is full don't get a second barn get a warehouse in city sigh..
With this explanation it is clear why storage barns are defaulted to store everything by default.
So the only way to store intermediate items for a seconds production building would be to build a storage, set a MAX value and deactivate selling there am I right?
Since setting a MIN value in a production building keeps intermediate items there ONLY for the building itself but does not provide them to other production buildings of you and everything above the min value will be sold or transported to a storage as far as I've seen it.
THIS. This should be in the guides in-game. You just changed my hole idea of Storage Barns; i wanted that my Storage Barns transporters bought raw material ans stored in there until the maximum stipulated amount is reached, then i would do a manual route with the business transporter to bring those raw materials in for production.
For what i understood, you are saying that the transporters in the business should buy the raw products and the Storage Barn transporters should bring the finished products in for selling/storage with the stipulated rules.
I hope this works, becouse i can't make those dam storage barn transporters to work, they just si there and "adhere to storage rules".
