The game is released, but I do not think it is finished, and like most games they will keep adding on with patches every so often. I am sure we will get more interiours, more jobs, and perhaps more NPC interaction so I do think this is just the beginning, and alot more good features are yet to come. Guild4 ? What would the guild 4 have that the guild 3 doesn't besides being done in another 10 years. So once the guild4 is finally released they will be complaining that the graphics are out of date, and the game is missing features the guild 3 had. You can never please players that feel entitled lol
The devs has said they intend to release mod tools still but I'm not aware of anything else. The full release has already dropped and they implied it was the "final" version, so who knows.
Remember how the devs insisted for years that adding interiors with the engine was impossible? That is a massive red flag. In Unreal or Unity (hell, even Roblox), that feature would likely take less than a week to implement.
So realisitcally, there is every chance that giving Purple Lamp a couple of years and access to an industry-standard engine, they could make massive strides in a fraction of the time it took TG3 to release. Not saying it's a guarantee, but I think OP is making a reasonable assumption.
If they added all the stuff they thought they would never add than I would say the engine they are using now is working :) Also it will take more than a couple years to create the guild 4,and I am sure it will be in EA for just a couples years :) The question is also will the devs listen to the OP,or as Devs they will do it their way so assuming they can do what the OP wants them to do might not be the best decision to them with how much time they get to work or the money they have. Just because some financially stable millenial or generation z immature player has an idea because it can be achieved by him. Him living in his fancy flat in the big city, driving a tesla, and wearing Armani jeans or just living off his posh parents that buy him all his gaming gear. This doesn't mean the devs have that kind of money or can achieve their goals in just a couple years with a game that can hold them over before they finally fix Conan Exiles, and make it the perfect game.
