How to quickly improve relationship with another family?

In order to make alliance or some pact, what are your suggestions?

Easiest way is to make alliances with all the other families in the first couple of turns, Then giving them gifts or gold will move that green bar to the right. If you are mid-game already. then giving them stuff will raise it until you can make an alliance. Also making the alliances early means they do not rob you or your buildings.
