I cannot kill people! Please help!
As title says, I tried to murder some random people for... research.
So, as instruction was telling me, I attacked someone so make her unconscious, and then used the kill-that-bro command, which was executed somewhat without any failure, but still my victim is alive.
I know there is a very expensive assassinate-option that could solve this problem, but my question is:

What is the kill-command supposed to do? And is there a valid way of killing people?

Hi collenudel,

Have you tried multiple times? If your victim is still alive it probably means the action failed (the animation still plays). A dead character should completely disappear after a few minutes on the ground.

The percentage chance for killing is rather low, so you may fail a few times.

Yes, it worked after a few times, thank you.
A tooltip on fail or success would be helpful..

not just a tooltip, but also getting items from inventory of dead people would make sence to play more agressivly, since on steal action you get only gold and few items from his inventory, while in real life he would wake up naked if the robber would want that, imho that would make game more interesting to play as a criminal

Playing the rogue tree is already good enough... Multi-player would be extremely boring if these actions were stronger, because there would literally be no choice other than playing rogue to stay somehow competitive.

What is that expensive assassinate option? I've never seen something like that in my playthroughs.

When you select your target, you will see a percentage on the chance of success just as you do with various other interactions (especially with the dating options). Having better weapons and high strength should increase these odds, as should breaking bones before you do it I think (haven't performed conclusive tests on that). @Forsaken, the option to kill someone is in the aggressive actions and can only be used when the target has been knocked down from combat. Combat alone may result in the member using the "flee" option but I believe this costs some influence so it may be used repeatedly until they run out. Only the AI has the flee option currently so be prepared to follow them back home and just keep attacking them. I like to bring a team of Henchmen and any rogue employees I have out with me for the hunting party so if one fails to kill, the others in line will all have a try. I also use each of them to rob the victim first as they can each take away some money for my effort. Of course, they would all be equipped with weapons and riding horses. You can also use employees from any other business in the area to kill with.

Easy way to kill any target is get a henchman to give black widow poison to your intended target. After success of poison, attack them. When they wake up they have very little health, the poison will slowly kill them as they attempt to run to a healer. Best to do this after hours, so you can watch them wait at the healer then die.

Probably the most enjoyable way to off someone is gathering all your employees up, outfit with daggers or swords, horses. Then send all 20 - 30 + employees after a target. Take turns using kill command until complete, resume working :) Mob squad gonna get ya!
