transport automation
Did anyone figure it out? Or is it just not implemented yet? The transportation window with all those green and red arrows makes no sense. Nothing is working on it. When I automate my delivery employee she just carry only half the load and sometimes purchases raw matirials at the market without me telling her to do so. What the hell? I am so confused. I am guessing that the devs didn't get to it yet. I hope they will. In Guild 2 the automation was the worse part of the game. Absolutely hated it. I hope they spend more time on it now, so that when you run 10 businesses it is still possible to do other things in game, like politics, sabotage, war, etc.

When i select my production building and press the "i" key, then i can activate the AI or make transport routes by myself for this building. Transport routes work fine for me.

only half of these "tutorials" actually made sense. I think devs need to spend some time and make us a good tutorial. If any of you guys figured it out, PLEASE share it with everybody. I am sure I am not the only one struggling

With the guide linked by Kotli it works for me.
I could even create a route for a transport worker from my mill (cuz he had a cart from the start with 3 slots a 20), not even serving the mill.
He is now delivering my blacksmith with iron from the mine and with wood from the lumber.
lumber --> mine --> blacksmith --> lumber --> ... no need to go back to the mill. :)

works fine for me since the beginnig of the EA.
setting trading routes makes the game a bit more unstable .... but who cares, it will crash anyway.
silly thing is. you have to set the routes again and again whenever you load the savegame for whatever reason because they won't be saved.

setting the automated route doesn't work well with just "gold wheel". I have blacksmith shop and trying to bring wood from lumber yard and iron from the mine. My transport ppl go to the lumber yard and go to the mine, BUT for some reason they deviate and decide on their own to go to the market and buy all that wood or iron there. I don't want them to buy from the market! When they buy there, they get stuck and just stay there by the market. Also the prices at the market are higher. So, how can I tell them to buy from lumber yard and mine ONLY?

You have to use the new interface to do it. Press i after selecting a building. If your transports get really stuck, I usually fire then and hire a new one. That fixes it most of the time.

Omg you are godsent, it was like the only thing i couldnt figure out those dam trade route XD

they get stuck at the market EVERY TIME they buy iron. When they buy lumber, they are fine. I am tired of pressing SEND HOME button and start the "golden wheel" again, again and again. Just firing them is longer than send home option.

Are you sure the market has iron to sell?
Kaiser Waffle Oct 1, 2017 @ 2:39pm
even if you automate the trade routes if the marketplace doesnt have the resources they will just stop completly.

yes
