I bought a level 2 carpenter shop, got married, built a house and applied to run for office, the game is not really playable, there is no relationship thing going on I clicked to attempt to start a love affair it did even though my character didn't go near her (she was on the street across from me), there is no functioning economy, there are 7 markets but click into them and its just the same empty market.
Not sure how they can launch a game based on a market economy with no functioning economy, just buy raw materials and dump the product on the market, you can't flood it.
Yeah an economy would be nice but i think it is just a chance to test the basic mechanics, get those bugs sorted before turning on economy, AI, etc.
I think I'll do some more exploring today and maybe tomorrow and then give the game a rest for a month or so. I still hope the devs can pull the game together. I guess more patience is needed and after the initial disappointment, I'll manage that too. Not without a sigh, but still I'll try to keep a high spirit :)
as a noobie, If I could ask another question...: how do I equip weapons/armour? For some reason this isn't clear to me :/
I've half a mind to court a prospective spouse in the better parts of town but I need to pass robber camps (and just hired henchmen may not be enough?)
