Eric's backstory helps to explain how he became so emotionally fragile that when he met Mira he latched on to her completely (because of his dad) and why he's so hostile to Sean (because of his brother).
2) I think Zero feels a connection to Sean because the boy he was based on was all alone, just like Zero was. I think he met the boy in real life and befriended him, but I'm not 100% sure.
3) Yeah, the epilogue was pretty bare bones compared to VLR. I guess we're supposed to use our imaginations?
Ahhhh thank you so much for all the info! The help with the first two definitely makes sense. I forgot about that little detail at the start haha, thanks. But yeah for the last, it is a shame we don't get to know about the characters after the events of the series considering we've spent so much time with them. RIP Diana and Sigma I guess lol. Thank you again for replying! Have a great day :)
diana and sigma met on the moon or the vlr timeline in one of the files
But well, the whole point of the true end is that "you will continue to make dicisions all your life, so a lot of opportunities and timelines lie ahead"
Mira - Her first kill as the Heart Ripper
Eric - His mother was the jogger who was killed
Akane - (and Santa) - Their father was the Japanese man who was found guilty of the murder and was executed, causing their mother to commit suicide
Sean - The human Sean was waiting for an operation by a genius surgeon who was killed when his taxi crashed: he only got into that particular taxi because Akane's father had just been pulled out of it when he was arrested... without the surgeon Sean died
Junpei - Is chasing Akane because of what happened in 999, if her parents were alive it is possible she never would have been kidnapped and dragged him into his first Nonary Game
Delta - Sean was his friend, but on a much larger level if 999, VLR and ZTD had not happened he may not have existed at all because of how the time loops worked (same for Phi)
Sigma - Not connected directly, but without the Radical-6 timeline, he wouldn't have been started his mental time loop and entered the Mars simulation, I guess
Diana and Carlos - I'm not sure how they are connected to the snail
It's too bad we'll probably never see a 4th game.
ps i think this end lets a serial killer walks free is insane
I guess they just wanted to create an open ending kind of thing. It would've been nice to have a next game and a truly happy ending but I guess we won't see that :(
Also yeah it is quite wild haha. They couldn't prove he was a killer though so I guess they just had to trust he wouldn't start some other bs lol.
ending she probably shifted too
The games are very loosely connected to each other, so you can start wherever you want, and I think they all have translated versions available.
Ummm... so I guess they're working on remakes for the Infinity Series that I didn't know about when I commented, but I guess that's a thing now.
