Am I understanding this right? *spoilers for end game and one note*

So, I don't remember how and when you get the note, but it's after the aforementioned story spoiler. Basically, the note mentions that Delta and Phi ended up at the German testing facility for the transporter when sent back through time. However, the note goes on to say that Phi was used as a guinea pig once in the transporter, being sent to the future, which is obviously to fix the whole "why is Phi young and Delta old if they're twins?" issue. But the note goes on to state that the version of Phi that was still in the past ended up working with the transporter when it was in the hands of the USA, and that she was quite elderly. As to what I recall...Phi says she was adopted by an elderly scientist couple...

So my question...did this game basically say that the elderly couple that adopted her...was her old self and that Phi's husband?

(Note: It's been a while since I finished the game. If I got any facts above incorrect, I'm sorry.)

It's implied that Phi is her own adoptive mother, yes. Nothing is stated outright though.

Well seeing how old Delta has become, there could be that possibility, but even Phi2 would be an Solid 104 Years, by the Time Phi3 materializes in 2008.
