Just curious what kind of non-online play is there
mostly wondering if there are any unlocks or arcade endings, as I love those in fighting games.

Previous versions had a ton of customization items you could unlock in the quest mode but I’m not sure if that’s in REVO, and if not how they’ll deal with costumes

OG VF5 had modes similar to VF4 like a quest mode.

Well solo is 8 opponents classic arcade mode, they removed quest mode

Pretty disappointed by the lack of a quest mode. I don't play games of any kind online due to most of my gaming being on a steam deck withput network access most of the time.

same
sadly gonna have to pass on it
if I want to play VF 5 offline, without arcade endings, I can literally just go play it on Judgement...
I play VF5 on PS3 its much better than VF5 Revo, because it has quest mode and it has Live in game commentary in matches. Just be glad the game is only 15 dollars, because anything more i wouldn't bother with it.

I plan to buy it, but again the PS3 is better.

I feel a little let down reading this thread as I bought it assuming it'd be feature-complete. I'm still happy to get the game as I've been away from the series since VF4/VF4 Evo on the PS2 but it's a shame to have content cut.

This is based on the latest ps4 release VF5 Ultimate Showdown, with focus on online matches it only has a very basic 8 stage arcade mode and no unlockable content and endings.

Quest mode was originally deleted from VF5 in favour of DLC items, even if the DLC for the modern version doesn't include all the DLC from VF5FS.

Your loss. Virtua Fighter is the best, deepest, and most polished 3D fighting game out there. By far.

I dont doubt that
but the game costs 80 bucks here in brazil (discounted)
and I have no plans to play it online, I like playing solo content in fighting games and this release is sadly lacking that.

Ok, that's disappointing. RGG had success because they were different. Looks like they're about to decline. Too many bad decisions lately.

Joining the offline-solo-only disappointed team.

I loved the original VF5 back then especially thanks to the solo mode and tons of unlockables.

But just an arcade mode without even a quick "vs computer" single match is a no- buy for me.

They should remember not everyone likes to / can play online... Sadly, it's like no one cares about offline and solo nowadays.

Yeah I wish there was single player content, very bare bones like this.

Deck user here. I tested Virtua Fighter 5 on rpcs3 and it works well - if you have a legal rom that is.
