Most peeps here are either

Vf fans
Sega fans
Fighting game fans
Or japanese game fans

Your post literally had zero input
yes, a VF fan and a Sega fan
which is exactly what i am
and correct me if i'm wrong but virtua fighter 1 is a virtua fighter and a sega game .....
and FYI. the game doesn't for 11 days so i cant buy it yet
God you're a friendly bunch on here

Its just that sega isnt using this as a request board, and 7 out of all threads are currently offtopic. “sega fan“, and for general vf we already have had vfdc, its where weve been since forever.
well, this is where I am now ........
and i wasn't requesting this from sega
i was just making conversation, so calm down already

Don't mind them, people get aggressive on the internet for no reason (maybe to vent real life's frustrations), I'm old enough to get that. By the way, even if you haven't bought VF5 on Steam yet, your opinion is not less valid, neither your requests. But I'd be happy if they put VF1 and 4 on a next Yakuza Like A Dragon or Judgment game. We've seen VF2, 3 and 5 more than once each.

lol I like them. That nostalgic slow way 3D characters moved back in the 90s.

Don't get me wrong i think they are great even though it takes away from the realism
It would just be nice to be able to play the first version properly to see the evolution of it all
the saturn version just doesn't feel right

I emulate the 32x version. It's an expansion of Mega Drive, like Sega CD, any Mega Drive emulator works. Saturn is old but hard to emulate well, even harder than Dreamcast.

In case you didnt know, this is the best port https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3t97JkTbhY
Only thing is there can be framedrops in the replays.

"The arcade version of the game was re-released on the Astro City Mini in 2020. It notably features upscaled graphics and fully transparent shadows compared to the original. "

i could say why bother playing street fighter 2 could when you could play all the rest, and people still play street fighter 2

Notice that you asked why people still play Street Fighter 2. Not Street Fighter 1.

The first games in their respective series are, quite frankly, terrible. It was the second games that were actually worth playing.

Virtua Fighter 1 was more a proof of concept than a viable fighting game.

To be perfectly honest, i keep forgetting that there is a street fighter 1
in my head it always started with two, i don't know why
back in the day i never saw an arcade cabinet with it
but i always saw the virtua fighter 1 arcade cabinet

I've seen Street Fighter 1 in the arcade. Even played it a couple times. It's pretty bad. I'll grant you that Virtua Fighter 1 is a better game than Street Fighter 1.

I would like a "Virtua Fighter HD Collection", with Arcade ports of all the games, and maybe even the PC and Sega Saturn versions included.

You can play vf 1&2 with emulators...

It is important that the older games in the Virtua Fighter series are preserved on modern platforms. Unfortunately, SEGA despises their older titles, and has been taking steps to ensure that they are removed from storefronts and replaced with awful "remasters" (like with Sonic 1/2/CD/3/Generations) and live service reboots (like with Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi).
It's a shame, too. I would love to be able to play Virtua Fighter 1-5 (or at least 1-3) on my Switch.

LOL. you could apply this to a lot of games buddy. How about a collection with improvements, added goodies, steam features along with it etc.
