Official Bug Report Thread!!
Greetings,

This is the official Bug Thread for Virtua Fighter R.E.V.O!

Latency and Rollback

During the open beta, a common issue was matches becoming extremely jittery due to latency. Our dev team has made tweaks to alleviate this, but in order for the game’s rollback netcode to work its magic and deliver a smooth online gameplay experience, players should adjust their graphics settings to ensure that their game runs at 60 FPS.

If you find that your online games are running below 60 FPS consistently, please try the following:

1. Go to Options > Graphic Settings

2. On the Graphic Settings screen, try the following:

a. Adjust your display mode or resolution

b. Lower Graphic Quality

c. Make specific adjustments in Advanced Settings

d. Utilize Performance Improvement settings, using upscaler solutions based on your GPU and try the performance or ultra-performance settings to stabilize your frame rate.

3. After adjusting, wait a few seconds

4. On the Graphic Settings screen, an FPS counter will appear in the top right corner

5. Continue adjusting so that your FPS counter remains at a constant 60 FPS

If you have a dedicated graphics card, ensure it is selected over any integrated GPU.

Gameplay changes (In progress)

We noticed Eileen had an over-tuned attack, that's now fixed.

I can't stand it anymore, I have to close the game every time because I believe is searching a challenger but is doing nothing, broken...
at first this happened ocasionally, but today it started to happen every 2 matches in ranked mode... (it doesn't matter if the conection is green, red or yellow)

I have to close the game (alt f4) and open it again because it gets stuck in a black screen trying to go back to the menu...

Any fixes? any ideas? is so annoying!!!
Just tried the game, played one match against a frien online and antoher with some random dude juste to see if it was a recurrent problem. The game is unplayable online at the moment, it's very slow and the FPS drops to 45. In offline the game runs smootly in 4K.
I hope the developers will fix it, I don't want to downgrade the graphics in order to play online.
I guess I'll wait a few weeks before playing this game again, just to see if the problems are resolved.
Yeah, I am also here to report that there is a bug with "searching for players" in ranked mode. Sometimes I can play 3-4 matches, then I will be sitting in training room "searching for players" for a long long time.
When I try to cancel matchmaking to go back to main menu, the game will just get stuck on black screen with the "searching for players" still showing. Only way to exit is to End task/Alt+F4 on Windows to go back to desktop.
Ranking Mathmaking while looking for an opponent
* sometimes totally freezes the game, especially when wanting to return to the main menu
* sometimes is in infinite loop but with the training mode still running, meaning you'll never find an opponent again, until you return to the main menu and relaunch the search

==> there is definitily a problem with the opponent search, i can stuck the whole game, and stuck itself with "stucking" the game.

Connectivity
* you have to wait 5 seconds to be sure the advertised opponent connection is as green as it was at the beginning. Usually lies. But at least, we just have to wait 5 sec.
* after lot of refusal because the "real opponent's connectivity is red", the search can stuck itself and does nothing anymore.
* tell if it is WIFI (SF6 does it, so it can be done)
* allow to block wifi users (that should be our right)

Region filter : just add a region filter, i am in Europe, i don't want to play outside Europe, that's all. Or if it is already like this, document it in the game in the UI.

* netcode : doesn't look that good, and i am 60 fps
moves in this games take 12 frames at least, it is not SF6 with 4 frames moves. So it shouldn't be as hard to have something ok

For some reason every single connection I get is listed as being 5 bars even if thats not the case. You have to wait a second to see the real bar count. Normally this would be a minor bug but it affects the connection quality settings aswell. Meaning the quality filter doesn't work at all because the game thinks every connection is a 5 bar. Ill set the filter to "Good" and still get 300 to 400 ping matches. This makes the game pretty much unplayable for me as I live in a very remote region where these quality filters are a necessity to find good matches.
Stuck in 'Searching for Opponents' infinite loop after exiting Ranked Mode, have to Alt-F4. Prior to this, I rejected several Red Connection matches, and opened menu while 'Searching for Opponent' prompt was running
issues:
-fps issues/drops ONLY when playing online, and has NOTHING to do with graphics/gpu settings.
-using steam's fps display, simply stand in ranked matchmaking training to watch fps drop for a split second and go back up.
-rollback is one-sided.
-dropping fps causes rollback for the other player, and dropped inputs.
-because of this, lag switching is an issue in higher ranked matches. i've seen connections go crazy at the very end of some rounds intentionally.

I reported this during the beta and nothing was changed.
if anything the online is worse in this final release and now stops matchmaking randomly or even freezes.

win10, i7-7700k, 3080ti, 64gb ram.
wired connection and ran on an internal ssd.
Please, make the tournaments also consider region in some level as you are planning for matchmaking in general. I saw disconnections in two matches And the worst, I advanced in both.
Apparently whoever is in charge of the netcode forgot to properly implement it into the game. 200 plus ping on a 4 bar connection. Fix it. You need more money?
(Important)
REVO is definitely eating inputs. Not sure what causes it but it seems to manifest in the buffer window. It's almost like the window disappears at times. It becomes very noticeable in competitive play.
Myself and a couple other competitive players in my scene have noticed it offline. KNR specifically noticed it at Frostys.
WHERE IN HELL IS THE PROPER CUSTOM ITEMS FROM FINAL SHOWDOWN?

I just about had it with sega and these kinds of issues.

I want a proper reply [Sega] Carlos

Gonna chime and agree there is an issue ablut the game dropping inputs. I'm wondering if it could nvida or the upscale the input latency or what. I have experienced it in offline play as well as online and on many different setups including the ones at frosties so I think it has something to do with revo itself
Please make the system save the settings before players enter ranked match, so we have not to change the settings everytime
I keep getting penalized for rounds not ending properly even though I play rounds to their completion. This makes it impossible to properly play ranked matches and my rank is permenantely at 10th Kyu
I found a temporary solution for FPS drops when playing online.
If you are using a gaming display, disable G-SYNC or disable fullscreen mode.
