I wouldn't put it past people to try and cheat but I haven't experienced that yet myself.

What is it like? how do you tell?

How will your anti-cheat distinguish whether the move is done by a player hand, or by the firmware of the peripheral? I have a Ducky 7 keyboard that has in-build capabilities for macros. It happens inside the keyboard, and for the OS it is indistinguishable.
I don't know if macros would even be good. I mean you would need a separate macro combo setup for each possible option in a scenario. It's easier to just play.

Though you could cheat in a few specific scenarios I guess, you could program your hardest to execute on reaction low punish combo and just tap that after every low block. Maybe a instant evade crouch dash cancel button.... I should stop giving you jerks ideas

Looking at replays of high level players picking the right move every time and also for myself facing Akira players doing advanced combos but no knowledge of fundamentals. I wish there was a report System or a real replay system like sf6, so we can expose these fools or hell, give me a damn block system so I can block these players out of the player pool.

I fought a Goh player who I swear was either cheating or psychic. He always knew when I guard cancelled a string and immediately threw me.

However, I'm not good enough at the game to say for sure.

Macro will forever be a problem and based on any anticheat not usually seen as cheat.

However macro users are usually unable to comprehend when something happens like a sweep. Stay low and make surprises with low med high

Any cheats aren't really a concern of macros unless it's determined by the company or some authority on rules and regulations. Most of the issues people will face in any fighting game comes down to hijacking p2p and manipulating lag. Its all networking to change outcomes that get reported between the two servers (players networks).

Unfortunately, it's just a longstanding source of toxic threads on each fighting game forum where people will swear cheaters exist and others swear it's a skill issue and that they ran into maybe 1 cheater in 10,000 matches. In reality, it's both are true. Cheaters exist, but most of the time, players lose due to skill issues and just having bad luck on their guesses while the opponent had better luck or better reads.

This is the best argument in this thread

We just need real replays in this game like they do in sf6 or tekken8, with this we will be able to follow said players accused of cheating and will be able to read their inputs, its in easy fix. and it wound't hurt to have a block player system. There are so very few players playing this game it would be easy to weed out the cheaters in no time if we had replays and a block system.
Or this is a 15 year old game and high level players are actually that good.

It won't matter since people will deny the obvious cases of cheating anyways, which only means that Sega will continue to ignore the cheaters.

I recorded a cheater, He beat me twice but than when I encountered him again in rank I beat him. Near the end of the match he kept side stepping my attacks but was able to get him. The script he was using kept making him side step thankfully I beat him and it was recorded by me.

My dude if he was cheating he wouldn't be a 3rd dan.

maybe he was using one or two hacks, an auto side step hack and a auto combo one.
