Eileen and some of the other lowest weight characters probably need adjusted so they have more gravity to them.
Funny enough I feel like the heavy and super heavies are ok where they are. Jeff and Wolf were considered low tier for the longest time and then suddenly after years without any balance updates are now solid mid tiers. People just really started to understand what it was about them that worked and how to play to their strengths.
And I believe the balance changes will be around system changes mostly. Maybe they will make changes to the throw break system again so players don’t need to hold breaks before actual throws?
Possibly, though those were already in place for a long time while they were often seen as lower tier before coming up. I hear people say they have good throw games but it's usually something else about them that really make them shine (eg I hear WAY more people talk about how good Taka's 4P+KP is over his over stuff).
The system I think they might change is OM, which right now is very, very niche. Maybe bring back OM attacks?
I'm hoping for changes to the ground game, mostly changing the attacks that hit grounded. I'd rather they not be triggered due to the enemy state and instead be moves you can always throw out.
I think Jacky needs a damage nerf (especially wall combos) while Eileen needs a decent amount of help, but I am pretty comfortable with where most characters are. I would not say no to some major Shun Di buffs though haha.
There is no reason to make some moves so much harder to pull off.
- Maybe something more for VF6, but make weight classes more consistent. Like lightweight for most women and some man like Lion, normal weight for characters like Kage and Vanessa, heavy weight for characters like Jacky and Akira, and super heavy weight for Wolf and Jeffry.
It adds little depth to the game having to remember combos for each character.
Light = Elieen, Aoi, Pai, Shun, Lion, El Blaze and maybe Sarah and Dural.
Middle = Jacky, Vanessa, Akira, Kage, Lau, Brad, Lei, Jean, Goh, and maybe Sarah and Dural.
Heavy = Taka, Wolf, Jeffery.
And perhaps add players from Fighting Vipers or Last Bronx.
Honestly, his weight makes the most sense of most of the cast.
Some observations / wishes I remember annoyed me / I had:
- Enter Backward Slide from neutral with 4P+K+G
Gives Sarah a semi-save way to gain distance
- Rework 4P+K
4K feels superior in pretty much every situation. Is there a combo where you use 4P+K?
DMPK!
It should remain in the vf graveyard :D
it was removed in vf5 fs
