Game menu's are really laggy, but the rest of the game is fine.

Anyone have this issue? The game runs fine except in the menus. It's very laggy and unresponsive and very annoying to start games up and edit my gums, guns, and everything else.

I also have this issue. I read online that it happens if you dont have all parts of the game and DLC installed.

I'll try it out and see if it solves the issue but it sucks since MP and SP are just dead space on my HDD.

If you still get consistent FPS drops in-game, or just in-general, use MXT (A Mod Menu) that EVERYONE literally uses for the FPS drops and the consistent stutters in-game. The menu FPS/Stutter drops have been around for a while and the devs (Treyarch & Activision) don't care.

And if for some odd reason, you don't trust the link i've provided, use this and apparently it fixes the in-game stutters aswell as the main menu stutters but i've personally haven't used it but alot of popular YouTubers have used it. The fix isn't specifically for the fixes, it also fixes some exploits that cheaters can do to you.

The menus have been laggy since day one. It may have gotten worse with the menu-freezes-every-second-update-bug, but keep in mind that lag free menus were not the reality before that update either.

Appreciate the in-depth answer. I don't like using a mod menu because I can't then earn any LD. Also there is a patch out there that MrTLexify talked about that basically fixed all of them and you can play online. As of right now though, all my FPS issues are gone. Any lackluster performance at this point is probably just my system. Still rocking an RX590 at Ultra and pushing avg. 120 FPS so it's perfectly fine.

you dont have to actually use the mod menu (most people dont) they just run it in the background for the fps, you can still play the game normally
