Short answer "No"
in theory now they can only kick you out of lobbies, DDOS you, make crash your game or maybe even your pc (about last i'm not sure).
But in the past before the last patch made by Treyarch for the critical will to be able to use your pc with only bo3 on, it is no longer possible. (Remember that even just installing custom maps is dangerous, because it is not protected.)
- PlotTwist: You have always been within reach of cheaters from the first moment you connected to Black Ops 3 even if you are alone if you do not use the T7 Patch you are currently connected to public COD servers.
- What does the T7 Patch do? Basically it validates with the 1st public server that you have the legitimate copy of the game and then when you try to connect to the 2nd public server where everyone plays it does not allow it to create a connection, so no one sees you but neither do you see them unless you go looking for them
(You can play with other players who have the patch and the same network password as the program.)
I tried to explain it briefly
Don't worry though, probably no one will do anything to you unless you go into multiplayer and are strong against a cheater and he decides to make you crash your game. xD
