Black Ops 3 on Windows Store?

So recently ive seen there is a lot of old CoD games added to the abizmo windows store and ive read that those version are not the same as the steam version. Seems like they diched Steamworks for Xbox Network. Does that mean at some points the steam version will use the same platform to stay cross pc mutriplayer together. Ive notice as well all previows cod games that had a VAC systems are no longer labeled like this.

my friend and I have worked on a tool to get the windows store to crossplay with steam which will be coming out soon, but as far as official support, I doubt it will ever happen.

Interesting, does this mean the windows store bo3 has a better anti cheat? Is there cross play with xbox?

i was thinking they might make it like halo on pc. you need to log in to microsoft account so it can use the xbox network. just a thought but its better that split the community. we all know cod on pc is a joke but still

windows store has no arxan -- it has stable 200+ fps and no hitches. it has the same TAC anticheat as steam, but no VAC. I was able to completely disable 100% of TAC.

My friend Emma (creator of Bo3MacFix) was able to get steam demonware connections working and with a bit of tinkering we were able to get the windows store version to completely crossplay with steam (it uses your steam account, etc -- basically like having steam bo3 but without arxan/fps issues).

I then got workshop stuff added back and it uses the steam fastfiles so all you need is the windows store exe and dlls in your bo3 steam folder along side our patch and it works just like steam bo3.

More info will come soon with the release. And to answer your question about xbox crossplay: no, the windows store version does not crossplay with xbox.

well, no the project is intended to convert the ms store game into cross-playing with steam (you still need to own the game on steam too). it doesnt work the other way (eg steam to ms store). It is mainly for performance and modding reasons.
