Friends on LAN show "Offline"
sorry if this has been addressed already, but I have searched for hours and can't find the answer.

I am trying to play on lan with my son, and we both appear "OFFLINE" to eachother's friends lists. NAT is open on my pc and "Moderate" on his, so I don't think that port forwarding would be the issue. I am the only friend in his friendslist and I hav <40 in mine, so it's not a 100+ friends issue.

Both of you're games might be in offline mode. Try click online mode, and if that does not work. Reset BO3, and Steam.

games aren't in offline mode. restarted both pcs. opened NAT on both pcs. still shows "Offline". Have yet to confirm if it shows "OFFLINE" from outside the network, but both pcs on the internal network reflect as "OFFLINE".

Running the Netgear Nighthawk R7000... maybe I'm missing some setting inside there?
