Campaign progress question: "Squares"?

Howdy howdy!

I'm still messing around with the campaign missions, and I noticed the check-boxes are different, and I'm hoping someone knows wth they mean....

The first 3 missions are marked off with solid green squares, the next 3 are marked with grey X's, and the rest are empty (as I haven't done them yet).

So, my main question is, what's the difference between green solid and grey X? I've completed both the green solids and the grey X's just the same, and the story continued just the same.

(No, I've never played any CoD's before... so if it's something one would normally know, I don't...know. heh)

i have same problem. i completed 4 missions. First 2 are green and the rest are grey. And if i go to continue campaign it always takes me back to the 3rd mission like i have never played 3 and 4 before :(.
Maybe it is because i went to the sfaehouse after completing mission 2 and then chose to play mission 3 from the Missionboard.
Confirmation would be very helpful of anyone knowing this kinda silly mission structure

Have the same issue has hualahn, but in the misson details it does say that it was completed, not sure if this is a problem or what.

i guess i found out whats the problem. After completing a campaign mission you find yourself in the safehouse. If you want the missions to be saved as done in campaign you have to leave throug the door (drop zone or some like that), or you just quit and go to "resume campaign" after quitting.
If you go to the mission board or to "select mission" it wont be saved as campaign progress.
I just checked that after resuming the campaign from my mission 2 and now all missions from there on are checked in green.

Thank you! I'll have to try that and see. I too went back and replayed an earlier mission, which then kept starting me on that same mission, and have been restarting each one until I get all that I went back for.
