Black screen

My system exceeds minimum requirements but have been unable to play game. Using latest nvidia drivers. Have tried the config.ini fix to no avail. Have reloaded game and have the latest patch. Get black screen with music and close out with task manager. Watching performance on task manager the CPU goes to 100% and memory usage to about 6BG. Hope this in not another Batman Arkham Knight fiasco.

I'm getting this and haven't been able to play all day...

Have tried the config.ini ♥♥♥♥ and it did absoloutely nothing to help other than make the game full screen.

This is an absoloute joke.

I am getting the same here as rejnovca, I m still downloading the patch and was hoping that would fix it but as rej already has it I think it won't :(

Download that and put it into the "players" folder in your black ops 3 folder

If that works and you still have 100% CPU usage, turn on "Sync Every Frame" in the options menu

This doesn't fix the black screen from game load issue.
My game loads as a black screen with audio then becomes unresponsive and has to be closed...

You are right, I was talking about the black screen on launch.

i get black screen but sometimes it will load then the guy on the menu will have 50 of him

try this, go to device manager, disable all sound cards but only keep your primary sound card enabled, reboot PC after disabling the other sound cards, should work then, keep me posted, thanks
EDIT - only one sound card must be enabled

i did that disable sound card that i didn't use and reboot i restart game and pouf no more black screen thanks Beastly_za

Disabeled all but one sound card and no more black screen and game is playable. using sound blaster and the culprit was the NVIDIA audio drivers.

Sorry for reviving a thread from 6 years ago but took me months to fix my game and this was the issue so want to help others find the fix easier. I disabled the Nvidia sound on my monitor, all Elgato sounds, webcam mic, and all oculus sounds and it worked. THANK YOU!
