Vsync ON or Vsync OFF on 120hz Monitors???
Guys, I am a little NOOB about Graphics settings.
I have a 120hz MOnitor and a GTX 980 (coming soon), so, to have a better experience playing BO3 with NO STUTTERING, what should I do:

1) Vsync OFF (84 ~ 140 FPS)
2) Vsync ON with 100 FPS Cap

Seeing videos on YT, the GTX 980 can get 100 FPS all the time.
Wich is better???

If you have in game 200 fps Vsync off if you have about 120 or lower Vsync on

You have it backwards. you want VSync on if you get above 120. You want it off if you get below 120. Vsync below 120 on a 120 screen does literally nothing for you and it can hurt your performance.
nope Vsyc lock you framerate why you want vsync on when you 200 fps
Screen tearing isn't only related to higher than refresh hz. You can see tearing in cry engine games even without going over 60 fps. You should use it when tearing becomes unbearable but only if it doesn't cause mouse lag.

I use a 120 hz monitor and most of the time I don't use v sync.

Stuttering can be engine dependant too and will stutter with or without v sync.

I ran the beta on both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards and there wasn't any stuttering or mouse lag with vsync enabled. The beta ran great.

Gsync ftw

Gsync ftw
No, FreeSync FTW. FreeSync is just as good, but you don't need to pay a few limbs and organs just to own one.

Because screen tearing happens when the framerate is too high. Having less than 120 fps and using vsync doesn't bring your fps up. Vsync is basically just a framrate cap. It doesn't raise your framerate if you get under your monitor's refresh rate. It just caps it so you can't get more than your monitor is capable of displaying.
Consistency is better imo. With a 980, 120hz and high frame rates (above 60), with vsync you'll be running really low latencies and be overriding most of disadvantages of Vsync but gaining all the positive ones of visual stability and smoothness.

If there are huge fps variances ingame just use Nvidia's Adaptive Vsync option in the Nvidia Control Panel. It will drop Vsync if it goes under the Vsync cap or your set cap ensuring consistent response. Once back over that cap, it reengages it.
OFF just OFF.. If you have NVIDIA 3D VISION with the eyewear

If your monitor is 120hz and you enable Vsync the game will try to run at 120 FPS to stop screen tearing. If your card cannot maintain that 120fps it will work, otherwise your performance will be affected.

Normally if you want 120fps constant you'd use a free sync or g-sync monitor or simply not enable v-sync and live with the screen tear.
I play on PS4 on the SAME MONITOR I play on PC...its a BenQ XL2420T.
So, why I CANT SEE tearing on PS4 gameplay and when I play on PC its pretty easy to see these tearings???

PS4 has vsync, its just for visuals. usally a lot of people turn off vsync as it adds more lag, and without it youll get reduced lag from more frames and itll be smoother (less stutter) as frames will be closer to the monitors refresh rate.
