It's a bummer because the new jumping and wallrunning mechanics seem to suit the game fine. Oh well.
I would just point out that there are 3 engines being used for COD games on Steam: The IW engine for Ghosts; the SledgeHammer engine for Advanced Warfare; and the Treyarch engine for Black Ops.
They are not all as good as each other. Treyarch's engine is very good. Even though the BO3 beta was not optimised, it played very smoothly. Even more smoothly than Ghosts, and that was supposed to be optimised!
Stick to Treyarch games. They will always deliver for PC gaming.
I don't agree. I like the way the franchise is going. I am bored rigid with the classic style of COD. I have been playing it since 2003. I like the new wall running and Boost Jumping. It gives the game a new dimension which is fresh and fun to play.
Like it or not, Advanced Warfare really set a very good standard, but people are usualy afraid of change or are unwilling to learn new things, and Sledgehammer for not fixing the damn thing along with Stupid ass lasers are the only things that really ruined the franchise.
So AW ruined it for you ? Kawaisou neee
Here, breaking news for you.. BO3's movement does not have that huge impact as AW's.. It's slower, less OP..
Why are you playing multiplayer games if you are not able to learn new tricks anyway ?
Got to agree, Treyarch are the best at making COD games, also agree with yout other comment about the wall running. Looking forward to playing this game.
The problem with AW was the 90 FPS cap, lack of footsteps, lack of decent anti cheat, and tons of micro transactions. The movement could have been fine if they had not made it so powerful, fast and usable every second. Supply drops were a terrible idea.
I believe in BO3. The new movement in the Beta was controllable and fun to use. It wasnt too much or too little. It made the game feel fresh and balanced.
