Detailed info on weapon prestige (-ing)

I just started the prestige of a weapon. As far as I know:

- it's easier to get XP because you start from weapon level 0
- prestige 1 gives clan tag
- prestige 2 gives kill counter

Now....I don't really care too much about the kill counter (and I could not car less about the clan tag), because it's really hard to see it. Is there anything more to that? Some special skin to unlock? Something?

If it's only because of the XP....well now that I prestiged once the HVK 30, I could just go on and play with the ICR or any other gun....I would get the same amount of XP. So what is the point of prestiging beyond what I wrote above?

what XP are you referring to? Do you get a fix amount of XP when you prestige it (when you click on 'prestige weapon') or maybe when you complete the whole weapon leveling? Or are we talking just about the normal xp that you get by leveling up with the weapon?

in that case, are xp with prestige weapon aMORE than leveling with another weapon (not prestige)?

Like I said, leveling up from prestige level 0 with the HVK will give me more XP compared to leveling with the ICR from level 0 (without prestige on the weapon) ?

I don't understand this. I have reached max levels on a couple of weapons. I have tried to prestidge but clan tag and kill counter is always locked, I tried adding a clan tag (pretend to be in a clan type of thing) and still locked. Can you explain how I unlock these?

All weapon levels rank up the same speed. Ane some guns you can see the kill counter better.

You go where you create the class, choose a weapon. In the screen where you choose the weapon, you can see 'prestige

'. If you press P you will reset the weapon (all attachments and level) but not the camos. It will ask for a confirmation, after you press P (in case you press it accidentally).

I did it only with the HVK 30....and now I have the clan tag but I don't use any clan tag so don't even know how it works, but it's unlocked. If I prestige it again in the same way, I'll unlock the killcounter (you have to equip it in the weapon customization).

If these are the only rewards, it's pretty pointless....but well, now that I've reset the weapon, better bring it back to the max level, so I'll just play along with this prestige thing for this time.
