PC SPLIT SCREEN NOT WORKING
Can't go onto split screen mode, if I go offline it only lets me pick Campaign or free run but not multiplayer or zombies

connect to the cod server then connect the controller, after that, you should be able to connect to the campaign and other gamemodes. when in offline mode, you have limited access to the other game modes.

I was lucky enough to find someone that figured it out. Damn patch.

THANK YOU

Nothing I have tried has worked and it's getting really annoying

Getting so pissed off because all the videos basically say plug in the control and push A. Or increase party size, all the simple things I have tried before spending hours on google.

Have your Steam desktop client open.
In the top left hand corner click "Steam".
In the drop down box select "Settings".
In the Settings window, select "Controller".
Under Controller Configuration, select "General Controller Settings".
Uncheck all the configuration support boxes. EX: PS4 Configuration Support, Xbox Configuration Support.
Press the "Back" button at the bottom of the window to exit.

Once you launch the game after changing those settings it may allow for split-screen access again.
I deduced that the Steam "Big Picture Mode" takes total control of whatever controller you plug in while these settings are enabled causing the game to receive input from your Gamepad as if it were KB/M (keyboard & mouse).
Hope this helps.

I found the solution. In controls go to game pad while split screen is active and make sure the controller is set for the proper controller. Example- Scuf Impact Controller for ps4 is labeled “PS Controller 1” under the split screen setting with a player 2 input device

If all the above steps still haven't solved your issue, then try this...
With both controllers turned on and one of them able to use the menus (Player 1) click "Activate Splitscreen" with your mouse then just push any button on the Player 2 controller.
Both of my Xbox controllers appear in the Microsoft Store App Xbox Accessories.
Could someone confirm this as a fix please?

If this doesn't work, go to your library and go to the game's properties>controller>enable steam input
For me, this worked, I'm using a cheap controller with x360ce
