Tired of sniper rifles in every fps known to man
It just isn't needed... Makes pretty much everything else useless the way the mechanics work... Get a Locus, level it up some, put a reflex on it.. GG

One shot kills anywhere above the waste...... That long range shotty you always wanted!

Don't get me wrong on the next part.. I'm not asking for realism but actually in RL shotguns have pretty good range used frequently for hunting... ( They have ♥♥♥♥ range in this game )

I'm just tired of ARs getting 0 love..... Maybe it's because I served and respect the choice of Militaries accross the world generally choosing ARs as the standard with LMGs for support and suppressive fire or just to tear ♥♥♥♥ up.

Best guns in Black Ops? Sniper, Sub, Shotty.... Mainly sniper and sub as shotty is not as good once you get unlocks for your sniper...

Beyond that their are really only 1 good option for each category.

Did you guys play test?

I really liked BO3 over all but coming to this realization sucks and makes me want to play less....

I have no choice... It's this or don't compete against people using it... Period...

One day a game will do ARs right... one day...

Quick Edit: If you do want snipers in your game then make them require a spotter, wind tweaking, the works.

Honestly you should just re-name all the weapon categories to make it less confusing... Because none of the weapons beyond maybe.. maybe.. the sub are anything like the category they are in..

That's a good suggestion, hardcore makes snipers borderline useless like real life (well, useless for close combat like COD). But the main core mode shouldn't change... the different guns represent different playstyles, rather than the real life guns.

honestly I see less snipers in BLOPS III than I have in any other CoD game. Quickscoping is harder in this game, so you have to actually be pretty decent to be successful with a sniper.

SMGs are the dominant class. They're accurate up till medium range, and very few of them are bad - the pharo/vesper/VMP/kuda are some of the strongest guns in the game period. That said, ARs are still totally viable. You just can't rush with them. ARs in this game are meant for med-long range combat. Move from headglitch to headglitch. The ICR-1, ACR-2, and M8 are all great guns that have been absolutely deadly for me whenever I've used them as long as I don't let myself get too anxious.

Also, realistic snipers in CoD will never, ever happen. The maps are so small that you can get across them in like 15 seconds. Suggesting that a sniper needs another player to spot for them and calculate for wind/drop/whatever in order to try and snipe someone... they'd be long dead before they could ever get a shot off.

You know what game has all of the things you want? Battlefield. I'd suggest playing that. CoD is not a serious game. It's a game that revolves around the principles of running and gunning, killing quickly and dying even more quickly.

You're complaining about snipers yet 90% of the players are running around with SMGs and Haymakers spraying and praying...Okay?

In HC:

SMGs simply dominate because you can spray and pray. Sniper Rifles are useless at close range without OEM sight.
