What are the advantages of playing this game on an ssd?
I already know that the loading times will be faster!
anything else?

You can get a 500 gig for about $145 now. I put some games on the standard HD, just depends on the game. Also how much RAM you have could make a huge difference in the benefits you appreciate. People used to RAID to get that kind of speed, so it's no more expensive now to SSD.

The SSDs can reduce hitching in open world games. Hitching- brief pauses in games when it can't pull assets from the hard drive fast enough to keep up with the player.
A few advantages of SSD over HDD
1. With no moving parts SSD generates no noise.
2. Because there are no moving parts and due to the nature of flash memory, the SSD generates less heat, helping to increase its lifespan and reliability.
3. The SSD uses less power than a standard HDD, which means a lower energy bill over time and for laptops an increase of battery life.

On my system, i did place the OS only on dual 850 Pro SSDs (Raid 1) and all games and programs on SSHD, and all music, and videos, media on a third SSHD. So i have two 250Gb SSDs and two 3TB SSHDs. Maps load faster, but in games like BO3 not much difference if any after that.

Whilst maps may load faster, you still have 15(?) seconds before the game starts anyway. My 3Tb WD Green 7200RPM loads the game quick enough so i can pick my class and still have 8 seconds before the game starts

i was having a little fun. but yeah true. because games now have a count down so its fair on others to join at the start.
but ssd loads everything much faster it also depends on what ssd you get.
eg. the read and write speed of that ssd.

my ssd is 550 read and 530 write. its vers fast. loads pc in secs. its a massive improvment for any PC. google about a ssd card......

and whats better then a ssd.

amsung 950 PRO 512GB M.2.............. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/512gb-samsung-950-pro-m2-(22x80)-pcie-30-(x4)-nvme-11-ssd-ubx-3d-v-nand-read-2500mb-s-write-1500mb-s

it makes a ssd look like a hhd 5400rpm and lower.

just look at the speed of that ssd m.2 in the link.... Read 2500MB/s, Write 1500MB/s, 300k IOPS.

anyways get a ssd, but read about them first. have a look at clips on youtube. ect.
I have an SSD....

HDD rotation speed doesn't make it faster btw

the faster the read and write the faster things load. so yes it does.

if somthing is spinning at 10,ooo rpm it will read faster then somthing spinning at 5,400 rpm.

its like a car. what can get you from A to b faster a car going 100 mph or a car going 50 mps.

If you have a 2g graphics card you may see 2-3 frames morebut it's pretty insignificant

Why would you get any FPS increase?
it's like changing from a 500W PSU to a 1500W PSU with the same config and expecting FPS increase.
Granted you can take advantage of the extra power by overclocking but the PSU directly doesn't give FPS. In the same way an SSD doesn't.
FPS can increase slightly with games on high texture details and lower vram cards because it allows the card to retrieve textures faster when the vram is nearly full before it dumps.

You run from one end of the map to the other end in like 2 seconds faster on a SSD. Map data is loading in real time while you are playing game.

HDD rotation speed doesn't make the reads/writes faster.
A 5400 black can outperform a 7200 blue
Same as a 0 rpm SSD can outperform an 10000 Velociraptor

if its a usb 3.0 yes. but im talking about the read and write speed here.

the 5400rpm are slower then a 7200rpm. but if both are running the same speed say 200 read and write they are the same i know.
eg usb 3.0.... 5400rpm will read anything faster then a usb 2.0.... 7200rpm. but what i was say is this...

that is a card worth getting.

Only in sandbox games would that happen. But not in a COD game. In COD games, the map compiles to its fullest when you load into the match (i,e. while you are seeing the loadscreen). After that, the map is "compiled" and it doesn't pull anything more off your harddrive. By that time, everything is in your memory. All textures. All models. Everything.
