NAT type is OPEN but cant join matches
Okay so i had a moderate nat type. And i did all the port forwarding things to make it open. And on moderate nat type i could only join TDM matches. And i finally fixed my NAT type to open and still cant join any other games. This is seriously frustrating me. Any one have any ideas? I really could use the help.

check to make sure you have it set in your firewall.

Your NAT type will not magically make other players play other game modes. It is just a sad fact that everyone in COD games gravitate towards only 1 or 2 game modes. Everyone in BO3 is playing TDM or DOM.

Some of us in some regions - like Europe - can get games in other modes like Kill Confirmed and Safeguard, but it seems this is an isolated phenomenon. It is not the case with many other regions in the world.

I see...does make sense though. R6 Siege when they patched it...Nat Types were set to open..and you would think Treyarch would do the same.

I have siege. Thinking about going back, tdm is just too boring and dom isnt really my type. I'll try and set it in my firewall. I actually havent done that yet.. ill let you know if it works

did you contact activision? router open?
NAT doesn't determine what games you can join, it determine what friends or players you can join, or if you can be a host.

An Open NAT can connect to all three Open, Moderate, and Strict, Moderate to only Moderate and Open, and Strict can only connect to Open, so Open gives more chances to join others, or even host if a server offloads to UDP.

oh ok

nothing i did worked. I let it into my firewall and everything. Game is just not meant to be played. Also the player count is extremly low for a game that hasn't even been out for 6 months. Cod is officially dead.

No...on average 200K players do play.

I always find players....they are planing with the upcoming DLC you will be able to chose servers for speicific maps and game modes. 4 New Maps and new player content also.
It's is still possible that your ISP may be firewalling traffic on their network and you could be moderate or strict regardless. Are you by chance a student living in a dorm on a university campus? I'm an IT admin at a major university and we actually do have restrictions in place for students that do affect NAT type.

You also have to keep in mind people are nutz over StarWars Battlefront but they will get sick of it..too many issues plus R6 Siege are tons of players.
