cant choose a specialist

i bought bo3 yesterday but because i got a really bad internet i transefered via a friend on my computer
now i cant choose a specialist

win 10 64 bit

Ok, no problem we'll get you fixed up. Now when you say you transfered it via friend do you mean he sent you the game through a file attachment or flash drive?

well i put it on a external harddisk and then put it in my steam file started the download it started checking files etc then i could easily start it but i cant choose this specialist pack also im only able to click the button quit offline mode and shop

Ok, you need to download and install from Steam not a HD. I know you said your internet is weak but it must be done, due to the anti priracy systems in place.

steam games dont run if you dont have steam

Ok and when you go to choose a specialist are they all greyed out or it just wont do anything when you click on it?

i just get thrown into the main menu
im only able to toggle the choose a specialist when i try to join a friend but then it says i havent installed multiplayer yet which isnt true

so there isnt anything that puts me in the choice to get my specialist

I tweeted pcdev but ths sounds like an issue with the way it was installed. It may have worked for your friend but I almost guarantee you that you'll need to download and install the game online from Steam to get this corrected.
