The t7patch author deleted his twitter and discord? anyone know what is going on??

This will be my one and only statement on the matter:

I am officially 100% retiring from the scene. For personal reasons, it is no longer possible for me to continue doing this work. Thank you everyone for the support over the years, and I hope I have helped you all.

P.S: I could have handled things better (tweeting a statement and stepping away slowly), but when you aren't thinking clearly, ♥♥♥♥ happens.

thank you for all the work you have done and effort put into t7 patch it breathed new life into one of my favorite games and it wouldn't have been possible without your help good luck on future endevours.

But why would he have gone away? If it's personal life like family then you would just not respond to tweets etc until you are ready to respond. This doesn't add up.

But if you have to deal with other things. That's fine it's your choice. Nobody can blame you.

On the T7 Patch dev's steam (S in the thread above) it shows he has a VAC ban about a month ago. Something could have gone awry, and speaking from personal experience, that can leave a terrible taste in your mouth to have work go up in flames that you just drop it entirely.

It could also be other reasons not related to that at all. Regardless, as Sun Tzu once said, it do be what it do be.

As a follow up question to your statement, if you are able and want to respond, are others continuing the development of the T7 Patch?

Currently running it makes the campaign essentially unplayable, and I am wondering if that may ever be addressed by any possible folks carrying the torch?

The entire point of me making a statement was so people didn't make up their own reasoning/ideas. Why have you gone and done that? The VAC ban is for Ghosts and has nothing to do with anything.

All you said was that you left for personal reasons. Without actually stating why, people are going to wonder what the personal reasons are, especially if you are someone as prominent as you are within a community.

To speculate. You have your reasons, which are personal and we do not need to know, but people can and will speculate. You should have seen the COD Zombies reddit when your "one and only statement" was distributed throughout other social medias.

Ah fair enough. I don't know enough about COD and VAC, so my assumption was that it could have been related to BO3. Apologies for the wrong assumption.

It still doesn't have campaign compatibility, and as a result of 1/3 of BO3 not being usable with the T7 Patch, speculation on your departure is enhanced by the patch "not being finished" according to some.

I open sourced it. If people want to extend it, they can. The game is completely playable without the patch anyways. There are numerous explanations as to the root cause of the stutters and how to deal with it without the patch.

The patch is "finished." It was designed for a specific purpose and any other responsibilities the community has projected onto it is none of my concern.
