is multiplayer safe to play?

To be honest it's very hard to find a multiplayer lobby, at least in my region (west coast US). Have also run into cheaters in probably 30-40% of the games I do end up in.

With T7 patch it's a bit more safe but still there is risk.

I did recently get someone DDoS attack me and my friend because we didn't revive him in match of zombies.
My internet was unusable for about 3 hours.

A DDoS is not a hack.
They are just flooding your internet pipes so you cant use the internet yourself. Like clogging a toilet.
