Bo3 High CPU usage
i asked a question a few months back and still havent found a fix for it basically bo3 will max out my cpu and drop my frames from like 200 to 90 and stutter really bad ive tried everything i can think of to try fix the issue and have had no luck,
pc specs:
ryzen 5 5600x
rtx 3060
32gb 3600mhz
the game is on an ssd
before i upgraded my pc it was running fine and i had no issues atall my old specs were:
gtx 1650
ryzen 5 3600
8gb 2400mhz ram

ive already tried doing allot of things including putting the graphics on the lowest settings and it still affects the fps

Weird, I'd just limit FPS and lower graphics. Usually does the trick tbh

i have ttried capping the framerate at 60 and lowering the graphics does nothing, and it will still drop and stutter allot.

Actually quite weird tbh, It seems like your rig. However some of my friends have the same prob and they are just fine with low graphics and capped

I'd recommend capping your fps I've always seemed to get stutter on this game, an m.2 resolved most of it for me but it will always stutter when i turn on the power or go to the mystery box for the first time, nothing major but its still worth mentioning I remember looking at a forum a while back saying how this game is poorly optimised for modern hardware so i don't think it has anything to do with it on your end, maybe try and putting it on prefer maximum performance on the NVIDIA control panel to see if that might help and maybe try re verifying the game files? I know everyone always say that but sometimes it can be the fix for it, I hope you manage to sort it out! :)

sorry for responding late i cap my frames and its not really stutters its more just my cpu reaching going from 30% usage to 100% randomly but most of the time stays at 30% which is where it should be but for the few seconds every so often it hits 100% usage it causes my graphics card to lower its usage from example 100% to 50% which drastically decreases my framerate it kinda acts as if my cpu is just bottlenecking my gpu but it really shouldnt be as it only happens on bo3.

It's a weird issue. My 5800x struggles with this game! Capping the framerate to, let's say 120, will partially solve the problem.

There is something wrong with Ryzen processors in this game.
Since BO3s engine is heavily single-threaded, it does not utilize more than 4 cores (only when you've set "serializerender" to 2, instead of 0).
But what happens in this game in particular, only with Ryzen processors mind you, is that the game uses all of the available threads, at 100%.
Meaning that the game will inevitably stutter, unless you cap the framerate to 60 frames.
