How are people so fast and accurate...

^ ....from such long distances with ordinary SMGs and assault rifles? I've only to stick my head around a corner, and some kid from far away mysteriously has had enough time to locate me, aim down his sight, place his reticule on me and fire off enough rounds to kill me - all before I've even had time to lift up my weapon, never mind pull a shot off. It all just happens too fast. If I see someone from that distance, I'm like forget it - what with him moving side to side and the recoil of my weapon - just forget it cause he's gonna get me first. Anyway, I'm lucky if a guy dies after I've landed 4 or 5 rounds on him, by which time someone else has detected me and wasted me. I feel like such a sitting duck for these pro kids with their super-human reflexes.

How long have you been playing? Yes, the skill gap between new players and average players and veterans is very large.

What you can do:
1. Practice twitch aiming against bots

2. Use easier-to-use classes.
Any SMG with quickdraw / laser and stock, fast hands, awareness.
Auto shotguns are very forgiving.
Once your aim gets good, use burst fire weapons like the Pharo SMG, or XR-2 AR. Almost guaranteed to win gunfights if you don't miss your first burst.

Many people are using controlers such as game pads instead of kb+mouse. In this way they have aim assist enabled. Look at youtube videos and see for yourself how huge the difference in accuracy is.
SOme of them trick the game into believing they have a pad, while they just use kb+mouse with aim assist.

I felt the same way when I started lol bo3 pc is a different monster console players have no idea about. I got better over time. Still not as good as I am on console but top 2 all the time now. My k/d ratio is between 2.00 to 4.00. You adjust over time.

Same here tbh, I'm unable to work out what it is that is preventing me from just braking even k/d. Is it the guns im using? Is it my reactions are not as good as they were in mw2 days? Is it my connection? Is it just people are mlg?

Currently to be fair im doing camos not the class setups I would have otherwise. I'm also prestige 3 level 30 and I maybe get one good game every 10 levels where I break even or go positive. But this locus... I can not get more than 3 kills before dying on hardcore, siliencer, cold blooded, hard wired, and on hardcore so no minimap or kill cam and yet I cannot do 5 kills without dying lol.

You have to be more careful, don't just go blindly around corners. Watch your flank, peek/head glitch the corner and aim down your sights on possible areas that an enemy might be in, If you already have your sights aimed down before going around a corner it gives you an advantage. It might be wise to go into a private game and learn the maps.

you could go into theatre and watch how they play....you might even pick up some good tactics

lol I feel your pain, OP. Keep in mind, many of these players have played 6-8 hours a day, every single day, since the game came out. They know every single pixel of every map - if they see anything that doesn't belong they fire. If you ever have any doubts, you can always check theater mode and view the game from their perpective - the difference between what you THINK they could see vs. what they actually did see can be significant. You can also learn a few things about your own performance that can be eye-opening when seen from another player's point of view...

I am a veteran cod player and i can say there is more good players in bo3 than new players. The best advice i would give to you is keep playing/practicing vs bot like Killall posted and try to aim and react as fast as you can feel free to try something different asweel. If you have a nvidia gpu look for some tutorial on youtube about the nvidia setting panel to get the fastest reponse time and high performances setting your router the right way can help a ton too.

Thanks for all the tips guys, time for some twitch aiming practice then - as 'killall' has recommended! I've been playing for about 2 weeks now and I'm getting some grasp of the maps. There's one map that I wont play though cause I hate it so much and that's the one with the train station. My K/D ratio in that map is always so shocking!

i play alot of custom games for muilty i try different scenarios like how many can i kill before my clip is empty i pratice wall runing and killing and jump fighting plus try all the maps to test what gun how do the right job you be shocked just making small little changes i e changing sights has big diffrence

How do they do that? If it's 'legal' and not cheating, I wouldn't mind gaining the advantage - especially if they have it too.
