DLC Check?

What is a DLC Check and how does it effect the FPS.

There's a bug where steam is calling for a DLC check (steam checking which DLC you have for the game) every 5 seconds and it's causing FPS issues. Unfortunately nothing can be done about it until Serious updates the T7 Community patch which can be found here ( https://github.com/shiversoftdev/t7patch ) or the dev's patch it. Some people are saying the FPS issue is not as bad if you have all the DLC installed but I'm not sure how true that is.

Well, I have all the DLCs and the FPS drops in the main menu are insane.

I had already installed all the DLCs but cant help the FPS drop.The update made T7 tool cant use anymore too ,just sad.

The FPS problem is worse depending on what hardware you have, I get 100 FPS in menus and it only drops to like 90 FPS when the DLC check happens every 5 seconds but I have a high end PC so for me it isn't too bad. Serious posted on twitter that he found a nice little hack to get most of the offsets updated instantly without signatures which means the T7 patch and zbr may be updated a bit sooner, but he isn't sure how long it will be yet. Just keep an eye on his twitter here ( https://twitter.com/shiversoftdev ) for when the tool is updated.

I fixed most of FPS stuttering problem by installing the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. I can install or remove any DLC I want and the problem is still mostly fixed, as long as those 3 parts are installed.

Why do I say "most"? Because although it doesn't stutter every second anymore, it stutters every 5 seconds, and it's a shorter stutter than before. Not perfect, but still an improvement.
