is the game safe to play now?

i recently read about bo3 and the hack it got, it is safe to play now or still prone to vulnerabilities

Indeed, I just found out about that earlier... for anyone reading this thread it should be noted that the issue (apart from the game obviously having the vulnerabilities) seems to stem from these people getting your ip address in order to use these exploits on you. With peer to peer it's very easy to get this information, in BO3 they must have other means of getting it.

The exploit isn't IP related. Even if you're running a VPN, they can send whatever they want through the game. It's all about the data exchanged between players which still occurs on Demonware servers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you use a VPN you still have an IP address... a VPN is not going to protect you from this sort of thing because their backend is just going to have your VPNs address instead lol - in other words it doesn't stop them sending you data.

If it is not your IP address that is the issue but the backend, why is cod 4 and 5 fine?

COD4 and WaW are fine because the servers are run by communities and are constantly checked unlike BO2 and BO3.

Nope, zombies is as bad, if not worse than multiplayer, because zombies doesn't even have dedicated servers, it is only p2p. Peer to peer matches are generally far less secure than matches on dedicated servers. Considering you can already get pwned on dedicated servers in bo3, zombies can actually be worse. In any case, I would stay away from p2p servers in this game.

There's only a couple people as of now that have the exploit and they only care about multiplayer. You were only a target because you denied the existence of the exploit, putting others in danger of it.

First of all I did not put anyone in danger.

Second, the RCE exploit exists in BO3, and there is absolutely logical reason why it couldn't be used in zombies.

Third, are you saying that if I didn't post here, I wouldn't have get hacked?

How so? How would me not denying the RCE vulnerabilities have had any impact on the security leaks in this game?
