Splitscreen fist only glitch

I've been playing this game for about 2 weeks now and often will do splitscreen with my son. Now whenever I do splitscreen mode both players can only use fists even though we've selected weapons. This problem started happening about 2 days ago and I can't seem to figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated - thx

Check your classes, maybe your classes have 11/10 slots used
Go into game settings, classes, selections and change it to 17
I don't know the exact place but look around.
