The real solution for the "en_core_pre_gfx" problem.

AFTER MONTHS OF THIS PROBLEM, ACTIVISION HAS FINALLY ADDED THE DEPOT LICENSES TO OUR VERSION OF THE GAME. THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS NOW!!!

What is the problem?
Some Latin-American Gamers can't play the game because files are missing.

Does verifying the files or redownloading works?
NO.

Why?
Steam games are divided into packages, named "depots". If you buy a Game in English Language you have the license to download a depot, if you buy in Portuguese, you get the license for another...
The problem is that by buying the Latin American version of Black Ops 3 you DON'T GET THE LICENSE TO DOWNLOAD VITAL FILES.

How do You Know This?
By using steam command line console. It gives license errors from the following depots:
311213 (english language files) 311221 (Portuguese Brazilian)

Yes, that is one of the solutions, but here is the deal: The files you found are for a complete change of language of the game, the files you need are just 300MB depot.

You're downloading 10 different sets of files, that amounts to more than 5 gbs,


Lets NOT settle for a almost shady solution for a problem to a game we BOUGHT, lets pressure steam to simply correct the license problem.

You can play, bro.
Thats what some people are doing by downloading the .rar packs full of english localization files... BUT they are wasting bandwidth because the files we really need are just those small ones.

mhh ok i understand, it will be great if someone post it, because i search a lot in google but i only find .rar packs in spanish and other lenguagues, but no in english. Anyway i can download 4gb without problems, so if you have the pack i will be very grateful :).

bro, help me... my bo3 recently missing sound at the game, when sounds missing recently freeze. I have veryfied this game then it did good after found then downloaded missing files. After few hours this issue appear again. If i do verifying again, it found that some files missing again.
Please help me. Thanks

Yes LuckyBoy, here is how it goes:

all files starting with en_ goes to the ZONE folder
all files starting with core_ goes to the ZONE/SND/EN

Wow, I had no idea about this. Im not Latin-American, this doesn't affect me. However I will say that this is disgraceful, the game should work straight away without having to do this. Totally un acceptable. I feel for you guys :-(

solo descargate el pack de idiomas en español y luego lo instalas manualmente y tendria que funcionar... a mi me paso lo mismo y asi lo solucione e igual muchos amigos asi lo solucionaron :)

If you already downloaded the game and is still having problems, do this:

click on this link:
steam://open/console

if this don't work as a link, copy and paste it to your browser (Firefox/ Chrome/ Etc)

it will ask to launch steam, say yes.

on the command prompt/console that shows up, type the following:
download_depot 311210 311213

And enter!

That's not needed but yeah, it was fixed.

There is an official fix, that must have came out in the past week or so. The language tab (right click in COD BO3 game) is now available. Just choose your prefered language.

Ya hay solucion oficial, Hace unos dias se activo la ventana de IDIOMA (click derecho en el juego, propiedades, IDIOMA) Selecciona l de tu preferencia, se descarga el idioma y listo.
