CAM Software (Kraken/Hue+) CAUSES BLACK SCREEN CRASHES

So I just figured out today that having the CAM Software for the NZXT Kraken (cooler) and NZXT Hue+ (lights) causes Black ops 3 to crash on start up. As soon as I shut down CAM, Black ops 3 starts up normally and runs as expected.

This is odd since CAM and black ops 3 have worked simultaneously since launch without any issues until recently. Could be one of the new patches in either one that has caused issues.

I thought I should warn ya all. I hope this solves the problem for a few of you.

Have you found a fix for this issue? I'm having the same problem with ny system, I just installed the hue+ on my rig and now BO3 tells me it shut down improperly and gives a start in safe mode yes or no response. The problem is answering yes or no gives no result except a black screen or the endlessly looping cursor. Strangely when I close out the CAM software this issue goes away. Anyone have a fix for thid yet? Thanks.

You can't use the CAM overlay and steam overlay, you'll have to disable it.

If it still doesn't work, contact NZXT and they'll send you an old version of the CAM software, which will work, but you'll have to still disable steam overlay.

Alternatively you can do what i do, just use MSI afterburner, as it give more stats.

Nah man I don't have a fix. Luckily it's not too bad for me personally if I have to close out CAM to play black ops.

Do you use this software to record something while gaming? If you're recording your matches wny not use OBS or Geforce Experience Shadowplay, either works great while recording gaming...and both are FREE.
