Memory running low...
Ive done everything to fix this issue, and nothing has worked (over the long run) Every time I "Fix" it, I can play for about a week and it happens again, ive gone into config, set my VRAM usage lower, ive set my over memory lower, ive set task manager priority to high(sometimes) ive sent messages to @treyarch they havent responded, sent messages to Vonderhaar, he hasnt responed, ive even un-installed the game and re-installed it, and it didnt work either, please i want to fix this issue yet nothing works, if anyone else is having this issue with 8GB of RAM and permantly fixed it, please tell me how, i want to play again, but the lack of support has made me lose faith in COD and Treyarch. Thanks for your time.

The game memory requirement is 6GB RAM, so that means there can't be other things running in the background if they exceed 2GB (in theory, that is). I also have 8GB RAM on a Win 8.1 64 system and have noticed the memory usage on my system with BOP 3 gets up into the mid 90% range at times. I keep my background memory usage as low as possible and so far, it's not causing me a problem. What are the symptoms on your system when memory usage runs low? Is the system causing performance problems because the page file is thrashing, for instance? My page file is also 8GB to match the 8GB RAM.

Have you tried increasing your virtual memory? Might be worth a shot.

Go to the last setting in the game's config file:

//Reduces memory reservations on systems with low GPU memory.
StreamMinResident = "1" // 0 or 1

You want it set to "1".

Also set your Virtual Memory higher.

You are not providing allot of info other then you have a memory problem

I will try to keep it short and simply

I changed from a old HD to an ssd and bo3 does not crash any more

In windows 7 i had to set max vram to 1068 or some thing like that (before bo3 would use more than 10gb of vram)

Make sure your memory settings in bios are correct
using windows 10 gives me better game performance

I use a .bat file to start bo3 and keep it @ high priority ( people say its bs, but i do notice a big difference )

Make sure your BO3 ingame settings and config settings are in line with your amd/nvidia settings in windows

Dont use bs programs that promise you it will make your system/game perform better.

Without your system specs and settings there is not much one can do to help you

I am not sure, that 8 GB is enought for this game. When i ran it at 8 GB there was more lags, than at 16 GB. Imho 8 GB will be enough in a case you run game from SSD.

I know 8GB is borderline, but it's not causing me a problem. Performance is decent and I have all game settings max'ed out using a 60hz 1080p monitor, with frame rate set to a max of 60fps. Otherwise, my system is an i7-4770K, 4GB MSI Radeon R9 290 with latest AMD drivers, Win 8.1 64 bit.
