COMPLETELY UNINSTALLING CUSTOM MAPS
Hello. I'm tired of getting my disk space lowered by 1 GB updates for maps I don't even play. I'd like to be sure how to, specifically for this game, totally uninstall custom maps.

Now, I actually went digging through the files and I think I found something, but I want to be sure I'm not deleting anything important.

So, firstly, I unsubscribed from every map Workshop installed.

Then, after looking through the program files. The best solution I think I've found is

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\311210

The above folder location includes 3 sub-folders that include files with the custom maps' names on them, so I'm assuming that, if I delete these sub-folders, and my \workshop\content\311210 folder is emptied, the maps should properly be removed?

Unsubscribing the content should remove the files from your system. If it does not immediately remove the files, try rebooting your machine and checking if the files have been removed from the workshop/content/311210 location

We are not able to reproduce the uninstalling of the tools deleting the game files as well. Can you provide more info on the steps that led to this?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

OP, you're just wanting to uninstall custom maps made by users yes? If so, just unsubscribe as PC Dev said. That will then uninstall the custom maps and any future updates from those items. Deleting the files within the game folder I don't recommend mainly cause they can leave little bits of files from there and may cause issues down the road. If you are unsure how you unsubscribe, go to your Steam Profile > Workshop items > You should see subscribed items under the total number of follwers you have > then there you my do as you please.

Thank you for the help, everyone. Unsubscribing and rebooting/turning off my compuer etc. has emptied the mod tools subfolders.

Again, much appreciated.

It does give you an option for installing it in a different drive. I can screenshot it if needed.

if you uninstall the game does it also clear the custom maps? because I can't find the folders containing the majority of the file size, only small kb files that seem like custom maps.
