Zetsubou No Shima - Zip line cog wheel

No matter what I do it won't let me drop off the zip line to land on the dock where the cog wheel is. Every site I go to says to melee, but that just isn't working. Is this a glitch?

Also, do I have to hit the power button with the electrified shield every single time I use the zip line when trying to fall on to the dock? Or does hitting it just once cause the cog wheel to spawn and I can then try repeatedly to get it? I've tried to melee myself off the line while it's electrified from using the shield, and when it's not. Nothing is working.

well it should work if u just hit the button with the electric shield and then use melee on the zipline, but there aresomething else to try, try hold down "S" or backward button and melee.
that should work as it did for me when i did it on solo..

Didn't work. Not only that, but when I load the artillery shell no plane ever comes. This is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that pisses me off, I do an entire game and here I sit unable to even make it to the boss fight because the game just won't work properly. So I have all five perks I want, the weapons I want that are all upgraded, literally everything is done. But the plane won't come so that I can shoot it down and nothing I do lets me off this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ zip line.

Wow, what an absolute piece of ♥♥♥♥ game. Everything finally works after a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hour, I go down because I got stuck on something even though I ran right through a wide opening. Going down causes me to lose mule kick (I had perkaholic) and the gun they take from me is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Masamune? Why would they take the one gun you need for the mission and leave two weapons that are irrelevant? There's absolutely no logic to that. I had no money, I was forced to do several more rounds to get some and try and get this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing from the box, they never gave it to me and I end up dying. All of that time wasted, every single step done, all I need to do is activate the elevator but the game steals the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one thing I need.

This is why this piece of ♥♥♥♥ map always has zero percent when you go to play a public match.

U push melee button to drop down on solo and interact button to put in the shell sometimes you have to wiggle around to get.it in though

i was having the same problem solving the easter egg in solo. When you electrocute the zipline it is timed so you have to do knife immediately. so you would have to use the zipline at the bottom area.

Thanks for the response, though I did beat this ages ago. I remember it taking me a decent number of tries to get to the boss fight, but I ended up beating it the first time I got there. Unlike Eisendrach which took me many attempts to beat the final boss.

This post was so long ago I don't even remember which step this was or why I had to do it haha.

To anyone who does this ee solo in the future flick the scroll wheel up and down to constantly swap weapons and mash melee. This worked for me the first time I tried it.
