How often does the game go on sale?

I enjoy the zombies a lot, and my friends want to get it as well so we can play it together, but $90 for the 14 zombies maps is insane. I think that they might not even budge if it is above $30.

So, how often does this game go on sale, and how much is it typically for all 14 of the zombies maps when it does go on sale?

it's currently discounted on humble store, along with many other CoDs. "zombies chronicles edition" is 36 bucks right now, whereas "zombies deluxe edition" costs 50 bucks. these are also the typical discount prices whenever activision attends to steam sale events. for some reason, CoDs don't go on sale at steam as of late, so if your friends want to get the game and couldn't find any cheaper deal from somewhere else, it might be a good idea to pick it up from humble store. it's a reliable website granted official permission by game companies, and the product keys of BO3 will also be activated on steam anyway.

Yeah. I was mentioning it to one of my friends and $50 for the package is still a lot, even to me it is a lot ngl.

I can understand how BO3 was the last one (according to the community at large it seems) they put in a lot of passion and effort into, and 14 new and remastered maps is really cool, but considering how old it is now it is really odd that they are still charging launch price for it.

yeah, they just don't want the newer CoDs competing with older CoDs, so they keep prices high for older ones, as a way of deterring the customers from getting them (usually smaller community, more cheaters, and little support by devs). activision possibly thinks it's better to attract the community to newer games, as people would be more likely to spend money for microtransactions in fresh products. as of now, even Black Ops 2 still costs 60 $/€ on official stores, despite being released in Nov '12.

I'd believe that, if it wasn't for the fact they're still on sale on Humble. No "recent" CoD has been on sale on Steam for the past year or so, yet on Humble they still have frequent sales. Also even on bnet the sales have stopped. BO4 Deluxe was $40 a year ago when I bought it, but this xmas we had no such discount, not even 33% off or something. I really wonder who's behind deciding what goes on sale when and where.

Imo Even bo2 is still worth the money IF you actually plan on playing it. ♥♥♥♥ i play Bo3 everyday and i paid for the 100$ all dlc w/ zc included because i knew i was gonna play the hell out of it. I see the annoyance, but honestly its worth every penny. The memories I got from these 2 games both before and now after alone is worth more than anything monetary

I would agree, as I preordered BO3 for $100 for the base game with season pass (I felt really cheated on the multiplayer side with all the dlc weapons being locked behind loot drops), and recently bought chronicles for $30, meaning I put $130 into BO3.

I can say that I got my money's worth, but my friends are not as into cod nor zombies as much as me (hundreds of hours in WaW custom zombies solo. Really loved that stuff), so for them even the $50 humble price is waaaayy too much.

It is a shame, as I would love to play with them, but they won't get the same amount of enjoyment and time as I did (for the multiplayer, as it seems to be dead now) and do (zombies is really fun, and I am experiencing the chronicles maps for the first time now, as well as custom zombies maps being really dope [The Mob of the Dead map with the mod. Oh man I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved BO2 mob and seeing it in BO3's engine, even as a custom map and mod, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glorious]).

Yeah, thats why i said i see the annoyance, and do feel sad cause it stirrs away new players, but it is what it is and i usually play by myself any lmaoo
